CARRY-ON LUGGAGE REGULATIONS
• Carry-on baggage allowance
Vietravel Airlines sets the carry-on baggage standards for two service packages, including:
- Optimal Service Package:
With this package, passengers are allowed to carry 1 piece of carry-on luggage, with a maximum weight of 12kg (26Lb) and dimensions not exceeding 56cm x 36cm x 23cm.
- Smart, Standard, and Economy Service Packages:
With this package, passengers are allowed to bring 1 piece of carry-on luggage, weighing no more than 7kg (15Lb) and with a maximum size of 56cm x 36cm x 23cm.
• Carry-on luggage is not allowed to contain:
- Fresh and frozen foods (meat, fish, crab, shellfish, etc.);
- Fruits (jackfruit, durian, etc.) and liquids (fish sauce, shrimp paste, fermented fish paste, etc.) that produce strong odors;
- Items that violate flight security and safety regulations.
This luggage will be inspected and tagged as “Cabin baggage” at the check-in counter.
Infants (under 2 years old) are not subject to carry-on baggage regulations.
* Note:
- If carry-on baggage exceeds the allowed quantity, weight, or size, passengers will be asked to check in their luggage and pay the applicable fee.
- Passengers who wish to bring dry ice in their carry-on luggage must inform our staff. The maximum allowable amount of dry ice is 2.5kg per person, and it must be packed in a way that allows gas to escape during transport.
Regulations for carrying liquids in carry-on luggage on international flights:
- The total volume allowed is no more than 1,000ml per passenger.
- Each container holding liquid must not exceed 100ml and should be placed in a transparent, resealable plastic bag.
REGULATIONS FOR CHECKED LUGGAGE
- The amount of checked luggage allowed depends on the baggage allowance that the passenger has purchased.
- Passengers can purchase standard checked luggage packages through the following methods:

+ Through Vietravel Airlines Customer Service Hotline at 19006686
You can purchase tickets or adjust the weight of your checked luggage at the Vietravel Airlines ticket offices, authorized agents, or at the airport.
You may opt to buy additional baggage weight or increase the allowance in increments of 5kg, 10kg, 15kg, 20kg, 25kg, 30kg, 35kg, or 40kg, subject to the following conditions:
The maximum weight per item is 32kg (70lbs).
The maximum dimensions for luggage are 203cm in total.
If your checked baggage exceeds the standard weight and/or size limits, an oversized baggage fee will apply at the airport.
In case your baggage exceeds the specified weight or size limits, please notify us in advance so we can provide the necessary transport instructions and calculate any additional fees if required.
Do not pack the following items in your checked baggage: Money, valuable items, portable power banks (lithium batteries) for phones, tablets, etc.
General conditions for checked baggage
The following items may not be accepted for transport in checked baggage by Vietravel Airlines:
Improper packaging or failure to meet transport conditions may result in non-acceptance of the baggage.
Security and safety for the flight cannot be guaranteed if the item is unsafe for transport.
As per applicable laws or regulations of the departure, destination, or transit countries, certain items may be prohibited from transportation.
Vietravel Airlines considers certain items unsuitable for transportation due to their weight, size, shape, or characteristics.
Items that are fragile or prone to damage are not accepted for transport.
Live or deceased animals are not permitted for transport.
All seafood and fresh or frozen meat must be packed in styrofoam boxes and/or coolers. These items may be accepted after inspection by the relevant authorities.
Vietravel Airlines reserves the right to refuse the transportation of baggage if the passenger refuses inspection when requested.
