Following the success of the 2023 edition, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2024 will continue in June, organized by the City People's Committee in collaboration with Sun Group.
Introduction to the 12th International Fireworks Festival
The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2024, themed “Made in Unity – Global Connection – Shining Across Five Continents,” will span five weeks at the Han River fireworks stage, featuring eight competing teams. Seven international teams from France, Italy, the USA, Germany, Poland, China, and Finland will compete alongside Vietnam. Notably, teams from Germany, China, and the USA are participating for the first time.
The DIFF 2024 opening ceremony will take place on the evening of June 8th, themed “Made of Unique Culture – Cultural Essence.” The opening night will feature a competition between Vietnam and the 2023 champion, France. Subsequent nights will include Italy vs. the USA on June 15th, themed “Masterpieces of Nature,” Germany vs. Poland on June 22nd, themed “Magical Love,” and China vs. Finland on June 29th, themed “Fairy Tale World.” The grand finale, themed “Made of Young Generation – Rhythm of the Future,” will be held on July 13th.
The opening and closing nights of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival are expected to be broadcast live on VTV1. This year, the champion team will receive $20,000, a trophy, and a certificate, while the runner-up will receive $10,000, a trophy, and a certificate. This marks the 12th edition of the festival held along the Han River, conveying a message of peace, friendship, and humanity.
Side events of DIFF 2024
In addition, DIFF 2024 will feature a series of artistic events across Da Nang. Locations such as Sun World Ba Na Hills and Asia Park will host numerous activities throughout the festival. Notably, Da Nang will treat visitors to an adventurous Jetski & Flyboards performance, produced by Australia’s H2O.
During the festival, flight frequencies will be increased to accommodate visitors. The return of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival DIFF 2024 marks a significant milestone for the city. Organizers anticipate DIFF 2024 to remain a highlight event, offering a grand “summer feast” and further establishing Da Nang as a global hub for connection.
