Starting November 15, 2024, the Ha Long – Cat Ba high-speed ferry will officially commence operations. This route connects two World Natural Heritage sites, allowing travelers to explore Ha Long Bay and Cat Ba Archipelago with a fresh perspective. The ferry reduces travel time between the two destinations to just one hour, easing congestion on overloaded weekend ferry routes. Visitors can now enjoy both wonders without worrying about lengthy travel times.
The Ha Long – Cat Ba high-speed ferry features a modern design meeting European standards. With a capacity of up to 300 passengers, the ferry offers a variety of entertainment amenities. Advanced noise reduction and anti-seasickness systems are meticulously installed. The vessel can operate safely in adverse weather conditions, including winds up to level 7, ensuring maximum peace of mind.
The ferry will depart daily from Tuan Chau International Passenger Port (Ha Long) at 7:30 AM and arrive at Dong Ho Bay (Cat Ba) by 8:30 AM. The expected fare is 250,000 VND per trip, making it affordable for both tourists and locals.
