This spectacular drone light show competition, named the Nha Trang International Light Festival 2024, will feature thousands of unmanned aerial vehicles. Set to the theme “Brilliant Milky Way,” it will take place on the nights of July 13 and 20, 2024. This international-scale event is expected to rival major light festivals such as the Vivid Sydney in Australia and the Fête des Lumières in Lyon, France.
However, no light festival anywhere in the world has ever been organized as a drone-powered light show competition. The Nha Trang event will feature a massive number of drones, with at least 1,000 drones per participating team.
The 2024 Nha Trang International Light Festival will feature four top teams from the field of drone light performances, hailing from South Korea, China, France, and the UAE. Each team will use no fewer than 1,000 drones in their 15 to 20-minute performances, which will be accompanied by lively modern music, creating a dynamic and immersive visual experience on stage.
Programs at the festival
The opening ceremony and the first competition night will feature a match between teams from South Korea and China. The theme, “Nha Trang Shines Bright – Glamour Nha Trang,” will be held at the 2nd April Square in Nha Trang on the evening of July 13. The second performance night will see France and the UAE compete under the theme “Wonders Unite – Night of the Wonders.” The closing ceremony will take place at Vinpearl Harbour (Hon Tre Island, Nha Trang) on July 20. Rehearsals for the teams are planned for July 12 and 19, prior to the main events.
