Specifically, the latest announcement from the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) of Taipei, Taiwan states that:
Starting from 00:00 on 15/08/2022, all passengers entering Taipei, Taiwan will NOT be required to undergo a PCR test within 2 days before their flight. However, passengers who test positive for COVID-19 will need to wait for 7 days from the sample collection date before being allowed entry into Taipei, Taiwan.
Immediately upon arrival at Taoyuan Airport, passengers must undergo a saliva PCR test to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
All passengers are required to complete a health declaration form before departure and submit it within 48 hours prior to arriving in Taipei, Taiwan.

Passengers unable to complete the online health declaration will need to fill out and submit a 'Quarantine Residence Affidavit' upon arrival, which must be shown to the CDC of Taipei, Taiwan.

Who is allowed entry into Taipei, Taiwan?
- Passengers who are citizens of Taipei, Taiwan.
- Foreign nationals holding a long-term resident card – ARC (excluding permanent residency visas).
- Migrant workers entering must apply for a Re-entry Permit.
- Foreign nationals without a long-term residence card:
+ Are permitted entry for urgent or humanitarian reasons.
+ The spouse or minor child of a Taipei, Taiwan citizen.
+ Students who have been authorized by the Ministry of Education to study abroad.
+ The spouse or minor child of a long-term resident cardholder (excluding workers and students with long-term residence cards).
+ Passengers entering for business, commercial, or investment purposes.
Quarantine regulations for passengers entering Taipei, Taiwan
- Starting from 15/06/2022, the mandatory quarantine period has been reduced from 7 days to 3 days. After 3 days of quarantine, passengers are required to monitor their health for an additional 4 days.
- All passengers must arrange their own quarantine location prior to entry and are required to comply with the guidelines and regulations set by the Taipei, Taiwan Centers for Disease Control.
