Gióng Temple is located on Sóc Mountain in Vệ Linh village, Phù Linh commune, Sóc Sơn district, Hanoi. The temple is dedicated to Đổng Thiên Vương, or Saint Gióng, one of the Four Immortals in Vietnamese folk belief. Built during the reign of King Đinh Tiên Hoàng, the site includes a complex of historical landmarks such as Đền Trình, Đền Mẫu, Non Nước Pagoda, Đại Bi Pagoda, Đền Thượng, the Stone Planting Rock, the Saint Gióng Statue, and stone steles documenting the history of the Sóc Temple Festival.
The Gióng Festival in Sóc Sơn takes place annually starting on the 6th day of the Lunar New Year. The event spans three days, featuring traditional rituals including the opening ceremony, procession, incense offerings, and the presentation of bamboo flowers at Đền Thượng.

- By bus to Đồng Quan Lake: Take the bus from Nam Thăng Long bus station, either bus number 56 or 15, to Sóc Sơn station. The ride takes about 60 minutes, depending on the traffic.
Note: It’s advisable to leave early to avoid the midday heat, as traveling later in the day can be tiring.
