3. Vam Ho Bird Sanctuary
If you ever visit the coconut land of Ben Tre, make sure to visit Vam Ho, the largest bird sanctuary in the province, to experience the wonder of nature and witness flocks of birds soaring across the sky. Located on the right bank of the Ba Lai River in the communes of My Hoa, Tan My, and Tan Xuan in Ba Tri district, Ben Tre, the sanctuary spans over 67 hectares. Several roads lead to the Vam Ho Ecotourism Site from the center of Ben Tre, with the most convenient route passing through Gioi Trom and leading to Tan Xuan, Ba Tri district, about 30 kilometers away.
The peak tourist season in Ben Tre is from October to April, when birds flock here to breed, with their nests visible on the branches of mangrove trees like Ri, Bang, and Mangrove. By August, the birds migrate elsewhere. This pattern has remained unchanged for decades.
Vam Ho Bird Sanctuary represents a unique ecosystem, characteristic of the coastal mangrove forests of the Mekong Delta, with significant biological value and great potential for ecotourism. Visitors to Ben Tre can take a boat ride through lush mangrove forests filled with the vibrant sounds of birds. You can also explore the historical resistance base, cross rickety bamboo bridges, rest on hammocks under the forest canopy, and breathe in the fresh air of the Ba Lai River.
The sanctuary is rare for its pristine beauty, abundant birdlife, and rich aquatic life. Currently, more than 120 species of rare birds are found here, including herons, storks, gray herons, white spoonbills, and more, along with a variety of wild animals like snakes, squirrels, civets, bats, and monitor lizards.

4. Biển Cồn Nhàn
Biển Cồn Nhàn thuộc địa phận huyện Ba Tri, cách trung tâm thành phố Bến Tre khoảng gần 50km. Quãng đường đến đây khá xa nên bạn có thể kết hợp đến các điểm tham quan khác để tận dụng thời gian như sân chim Vàm Hồ, làng muối Bảo Thạnh, chợ Bảo Thạnh, cồn Chày Mười, cồn Bà Tư, Khu di tích lăng mộ Nguyễn Đình Chiểu v.v.
Biển Cồn Nhàn có diện tích khá nhỏ, khung cảnh còn đậm chất hoang sơ. Trước đây, biển chỉ là nơi người dân buôn bán thủy hải sản, cuối tuần thì có những gia đình hoặc vài nhóm bạn trẻ đến vui chơi. Vài năm gần đây, du lịch phát triển, vẻ đẹp của xứ dừa được biết đến nhiều hơn. Vì vậy, biển Cồn Nhàn dần dần trở thành địa điểm tham quan lý tưởng, thu hút mọi người bởi sự hoang sơ và bầu không khí trong lành, dễ chịu.
Cồn Nhàn được các tín đồ du lịch đánh giá là một trong những bãi biển hoang sơ và đáng đến nhất của miền Tây nói chung và Bến Tre nói riêng. Nơi đây sở hữu những cánh rừng ngập mặn tuyệt đẹp. Không có sự xuất hiện của nhà hàng, khách sạn, khu resort sang chảnh nên khung cảnh cực kỳ thi vị và nguyên sơ. Vì thế, nếu bạn mang trong mình tâm hồn tha thiết tìm về thiên nhiên thì biển Cồn Nhàn chính là thiên đường.

5. The Tomb of Nguyen Dinh Chieu
The tomb of Nguyen Dinh Chieu is the resting place of the poet Nguyen Dinh Chieu, along with his wife, Le Thi Dien, and his daughter, female poet Suong Nguyet Anh. Located in Hamlet 3, An Duc Commune, Ba Tri District, Ben Tre Province, the site was recognized as a national cultural heritage by the Prime Minister of Vietnam in late 2016.
The Nguyen Dinh Chieu Tomb has become a spiritual tourism destination and a source of pride for the people of Ben Tre. It honors the patriotic poet, exemplary teacher, and compassionate doctor. The tomb complex covers an area of over 1.5 hectares and underwent renovation in 2000. The site includes a three-arched gate, a stele house, a new temple, an old temple, and the tomb itself.
Visitors to the Nguyen Dinh Chieu Tomb can learn about the life and career of the scholar and poet, who left behind significant contributions to literature and the nation. This free tourist attraction is open daily from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. It’s a sacred place of reflection, honoring the great teacher who dedicated his life to the country and its people.
