1. Formation History and Cultural Significance
Ba Den Mountain is considered a sacred site in Tay Ninh Province. It is closely tied to the legend of Lady Thien Hau, the Holy Mother and guardian deity of the local people. Both locals and visitors often come here to pray for health, luck, and prosperity each year.
2. Terrain Features
Ba Den Mountain is located in the northeast of Tay Ninh City, 11km from the city center, within the administrative boundaries of Thanh Tan commune. The Ba Mountain area covers a total area of approximately 24km2 and is formed by three smaller peaks: Heo Mountain, Phung Mountain, and Ba Den Mountain.
Standing at 986m above sea level, the terrain here is quite complex, primarily composed of basalt rock and numerous natural caves. It is divided into three sections: the foothills feature flatlands with rice fields and orchards; the mid-slopes consist of hilly areas with steep inclines; and the summit is a flat area with large rock formations.

5. Spring Festival at Ba Den Mountain
The Ba Den Mountain Spring Festival is one of the largest and most renowned spiritual events in Southern Vietnam, held at the beginning of each year. It attracts countless visitors to Tay Ninh, who take the cable car to pay homage at the summit of the highest peak in the region. The festival typically runs from the 4th to the 16th day of the first lunar month. During this time, the Ba Temple area becomes the primary pilgrimage site for locals.
