This year, cherry blossoms are blooming vibrantly in various areas of the Flower City as Tet approaches. Let’s take a look at the six most romantic cherry blossom viewing spots in Da Lat.
Tran Hung Dao Street
This street, known as the 'cherry blossom road,' is lined with trees in full bloom on both sides, creating a dreamy and romantic atmosphere. It is a popular cherry blossom viewing spot in Da Lat. From Da Lat Market, head along Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street toward Xuan Huong Lake. Continue on Ho Tung Mau Street, past Hoa Binh area. Turn onto Tran Phu Street, then straight ahead will take you to Tran Hung Dao. The journey takes about 5-10 minutes.
Xuan Huong Lake
Around the lake, especially near the Thuy Ta restaurant and Bich Cau area, numerous cherry blossoms have been planted. These trees create a stunning natural scene that reflects on the water’s surface. From Da Lat Market, take Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street. After about 300 meters, you will reach the lakeside area.
Tuyen Lam Lake
On the way to the Sculptural Tunnel, after crossing the iron bridge, you'll spot a large cluster of cherry blossoms by the lake. To get to Tuyen Lam Lake, from Da Lat Market, follow Tran Phu Street, pass Dinh 2, and turn onto Trieu Viet Vuong Street. Continue along this road for about 5km, where you'll reach an intersection with a sign pointing to Tuyen Lam Lake. Turn right and travel another 1km to reach the lake. This picturesque lake is a famous cherry blossom viewing spot in Da Lat.
Da Quy Hill
Located on Trai Mat Road, Da Quy Hill is famous for its rows of ancient cherry blossom trees standing close together, forming a breathtaking floral path. The view is especially stunning in the early morning when dew lingers on the petals. To reach Da Quy Hill, from Da Lat Market, take Tran Hung Dao Street toward Trai Mat. Continue straight along National Highway 20 (Hung Vuong Street), and when you reach the Trai Mat area, you will see a sign leading to Da Quy Hill. Turn right and travel about 1km to your destination.
Cau Dat Tea Hill
This area is not only known for its lush green tea hills but also for vibrant rows of cherry blossoms. As such, it has become a highly popular cherry blossom viewing spot in Da Lat. To get to Cau Dat Tea Hill, a famous tourist site in Da Lat, start from the city center (Da Lat Market). From there, take Tran Hung Dao Street and continue on Hung Vuong Road toward Trai Mat. Once you reach Trai Mat, follow National Highway 20 for about 15km and look for the sign pointing to Cau Dat Farm. Turn right onto the road leading up to the tea hill, and travel another 2km to arrive.
Lac Duong (Lang Biang Mountain Slope)
The cherry blossoms in Lac Duong, particularly on the Lang Biang mountain slope, attract visitors every spring to witness their vibrant bloom. Located about 15km from Da Lat city center, this area is known for its stunning cherry trees in full bloom. The view is especially captivating in the early morning or at sunset. To reach Lac Duong (Lang Biang slope), from the city center, head along Xo Viet Nghe Tinh Road towards Golden Valley. Continue straight for about 12km, and you’ll arrive at Lac Duong town. Once there, you can walk along the trails to enjoy the beauty of the cherry blossom rows.
