Specifically, Vietnam Airlines is offering an extra free checked baggage allowance for passengers flying to India, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and South Korea (in addition to the standard 1 free checked bag included in the ticket price).
This means that passengers are allowed to carry a total of 2 free checked bags, with a combined weight of up to 64kg.

- The promotion is valid for tickets purchased via the website, mobile app, ticket offices, and official agents of Vietnam Airlines. For flights to India, the offer is only available for tickets purchased at ticket offices and authorized Vietnam Airlines agents.
- The maximum number of standard luggage items is 2 per passenger.
- Details of the eligible flight routes for this promotion are as follows:
• India flight route:
- Valid for tickets purchased in Vietnam/India.
- Applicable route: Between Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City and New Delhi (including domestic connecting flights within 24 hours).
- Eligibility: Passengers purchasing tickets from the Standard Economy class or higher (each passenger can bring a maximum of 2 pieces of luggage).
- Applicable for tickets purchased and departing between September 15, 2022, and December 31, 2022.
• Malaysia flight route:
- Valid for tickets purchased in Malaysia/Vietnam.
- Journey route: From Ho Chi Minh City to Kuala Lumpur.
- Eligible participants: All customers (each is allowed to bring a maximum of 2 pieces of luggage).
- Conditions: Valid for tickets purchased and departures until December 31, 2022, for flexible economy class tickets (booking classes Y/B/M/S) or standard economy class tickets (booking class H) with a fare starting from 273 USD/round trip (including taxes and fees).
• Thailand flight route:
- Applicable for tickets purchased in Thailand or Vietnam.
- Eligible route: Between Da Nang and Bangkok (including domestic connecting flights within 24 hours).
- Eligible participants: All customers (each is permitted to bring a maximum of 2 pieces of luggage).
- Valid for tickets purchased and departures between 15/09/2022 and 31/12/2022.
• Singapore flight route:
- Valid for tickets purchased in Singapore or Vietnam.
- Applicable routes: Between Ho Chi Minh City and Singapore (including domestic connecting flights within 24 hours); Between Hanoi and Singapore.
- Eligible participants: All customers (each may carry up to 2 pieces of luggage).
- Valid for tickets purchased and departing until 31/12/2022. For the route between Hanoi and Singapore, the baggage promotion applies to flexible economy class tickets (booking classes Y/B/M/S) or standard economy class tickets (booking class H) with a fare starting from 359 USD/round trip (including taxes and fees).
• South Korea flight routes:
- Applicable for tickets purchased in South Korea/Vietnam.
- Applicable routes: Between Ho Chi Minh City/Hanoi and Seoul (South Korea) on flights VN404, VN405, VN414, VN415.
- Eligible participants: All customers (each may carry a maximum of 2 pieces of luggage).
- Valid for tickets purchased and departing from 01/11/2022 to 31/12/2022.
