Resembling a giant dragon amidst the natural landscape, Vi Rồng Cape is a magnificent site located in Phù Mỹ district, Bình Định province.
Vi Rồng Cape takes on a unique form in the vast sea
Located about 70 kilometers from Quy Nhơn city, Vi Rồng Cape (also known as Dragon Cape) is a famous tourist destination in Bình Định. This cape is actually part of a mountain situated by the sea, in the Tân Phụng village of Mỹ Thọ commune. The area features numerous jagged rocks that resemble the body of a giant dragon stretching toward the open sea.

According to legend, the area resembles a fish scale pattern, and locals often refer to it as the 'dragon scale stone'. A geomancer from the Tang Dynasty in China, named Cao Biền, known for locating places with dragon veins to neutralize them, noticed the powerful energy in Dragon Cape and used magic to sever it to prevent future disasters.

After the dragon vein was severed, the dragon scales fell, and dragon's blood pooled, creating small red stones among the sand. These stones are very hard, and when polished with water, they emit a deep red color. In those days, students would come here to collect these stones, which were used to make ink for their teachers' grading. In the evening, the rocky areas like Bàn and Đá Dựng became intriguingly mysterious. The Vi Rồng Cape truly looks like a dragon stretching its body toward the sea.

Numerous experiences await at this unique scenic destination.
In particular, within the heart of this rocky mountain, there is a cave that stretches out to the sea. This spot has become a popular photo opportunity for many visitors. In addition, you can also enjoy swimming, sit on large boulders, and during the winter, Vi Rong Cape is one of the ideal spots for windsurfing.

From a distance, Vi Rong Cape appears as a majestic rock stretching out between the vast waves of the sea. Surrounding the protruding rocky area are a series of smaller stones scattered around the shore. Sitting on these rocks, visitors can watch the busy fishing boats. Far off, the clear blue ocean offers a perfect view of the seabed, providing an ideal environment for fun and leisure. Interspersed among the waves are small rocks close to the shore, each with unique and beautiful shapes.

During the trip, visitors can also visit Tan Phung fishing village. This village has a traditional market where fresh, affordable seafood is sold. It is a popular spot for fishing boats, ensuring a variety of fresh seafood. Visitors have the chance to purchase seafood like fish, squid, lobster, and more. Additionally, the famous local specialty you must try is My Tho wine. Known for its aroma, it has been immortalized in the folk verse: 'Visiting Vi Rong's scenic view, drinking My Tho wine, fragrant with the homeland's love.'
