To accommodate the surge in travel demand during the Lunar New Year 2025, Vietnam Airlines Group (including Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines, and VASCO) will operate an additional 3000 domestic flights from January 13, 2025, to February 12, 2025.
650,000 Additional Seats Added for Domestic Routes
Despite opening numerous domestic routes to meet the high travel demand during the 2025 Lunar New Year, many Vietnam Airlines flights have already sold out. Routes such as Ho Chi Minh City – Dong Hoi and Ho Chi Minh City – Quy Nhon are fully booked during the peak period from January 22 to January 26, 2025.
As a result, Vietnam Airlines Group (including Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines, and VASCO) will introduce 3000 additional flights, offering over 650,000 seats on domestic routes from January 13 to February 12, 2025. The extra flights will focus on the following routes:
- Ho Chi Minh City – Chu Lai & return
- Ho Chi Minh City – Pleiku & return
- Ho Chi Minh City – Buon Ma Thuot & return
- Ho Chi Minh City – Tuy Hoa & return
- Ho Chi Minh City – Hue & return
- Ho Chi Minh City – Dong Hoi & return
With this expansion, Vietnam Airlines Group's domestic flight network will offer a total of 2.15 million seats. This equates to over 11,000 flights catering to passengers. The flights maintain an average occupancy rate of 80%, primarily serving routes from Ho Chi Minh City to Central and Northern regions such as Da Nang, Dong Hoi, Vinh, and Thanh Hoa.
