As the holiday break on April 30th and May 1st approaches, many people are probably making preparations for their upcoming trips with family or friends. Have you made your arrangements for your flight? To ensure a smooth journey during this holiday season, Vietnam Airlines Group has released special guidelines for its passengers, which we invite you to review.

In order to ensure a smooth flight for the upcoming April 30th - May 1st holiday, it's important to make thorough preparations, from paperwork to travel steps.
Specifically, passengers are advised to purchase tickets through official websites, agents, and ticket offices of the airlines, and to request invoices to avoid purchasing counterfeit or overpriced tickets. For those buying tickets on the website, it is crucial to ensure you access the official Vietnam Airlines website at: www.vietnamairlines.com. Additionally, passengers can download the 'Vietnam Airlines' mobile app and buy tickets through it for added security. Avoid accessing fraudulent websites, as it may result in financial loss.
International travelers should verify entry requirements for their destination country with the ticket seller. Vietnam Airlines currently provides information about the entry procedures for various countries and regions, which you should review to ensure you're fully prepared for your trip and avoid any potential issues during immigration.

Consider opting for online check-in options to shorten your wait time for a smoother travel experience.
To minimize time spent at the airport and reduce exposure, passengers are advised to complete their check-in process in advance using the online channels provided by Vietnam Airlines. These options include the website, mobile app, telephone check-in, or self-service kiosks, all of which are available up to 24 hours before departure.

It is essential for passengers to be aware of the timing and to ensure they arrive at the airport on time.
Passengers should plan to arrive at the airport early, ideally two hours before domestic flights and three hours before international flights, to avoid the risk of delays.
In order to accommodate the travel demands during the 30th April - 1st May holiday, Vietnam Airlines Group is increasing the number of flights on key tourist routes. The additional flights will focus on eight major tourist destinations, including routes from Hanoi to Hue, Da Nang, Cam Ranh, Da Lat, Phu Quoc, and from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang, Cam Ranh, and Phu Quoc.
Earlier, on March 29, 2022, Vietnam Airlines Group announced its peak load increase for the 30th April - 1st May holiday, with a total of nearly 2,300 flights (equivalent to 450,000 seats) scheduled over seven days from 28th April to 4th May. With the next round of capacity increase, they added more than 255 flights and over 50,000 additional seats, bringing the total to nearly 2,700 flights and over 524,000 seats for the period between 24th April and 4th May.
Although the Covid-19 situation has been largely controlled, it is still important not to be complacent. When traveling to public places or crowded areas like airports or while onboard flights, it is essential to continue following the 5K guidelines and accurately complete the health declaration using the PC-Covid app.
In addition, to minimize the potential congestion during peak hours, Noi Bai Airport encourages passengers to use public transport instead of private vehicles for drop-offs and pick-ups, helping to ease the pressure on the car park at the terminal.
Furthermore, passengers are advised to limit having family members drop them off at the airport, to reduce the pressure at the terminal and ensure a smoother flow of movement.
