Passengers wishing to change their flight date
Vietnam Airlines flight tickets with a travel date between 01/05/2021 and 31/05/2021 (excluding tickets in the Economy Saver class) are eligible for one free date change within the validity period of the ticket.
This policy applies if the passenger has not yet flown the booked flight and has canceled the booking at least 3 hours before the scheduled departure time.
If passengers cancel their booking in violation of the rules, Vietnam Airlines will apply a ticket change fee and a cancellation fee in accordance with the ticket's fare conditions. In cases where passengers switch to a flight with no available seats in the same class, they may need to pay the difference in fare, taxes, fees, and any additional surcharges.
Passengers wishing to refund their ticket
For passengers requesting a ticket refund, Vietnam Airlines offers a free refund option for those choosing to convert their refund to a voucher worth 100% of the ticket's value.
This policy is applied by Vietnam Airlines to passengers whose flights are canceled or delayed due to government requirements or unavoidable circumstances caused by the pandemic, or for tickets with refundable conditions for voluntary cancellations. If passengers request a refund but fail to cancel their booking in accordance with the regulations, Vietnam Airlines will charge a cancellation fee when they proceed with the refund.
Customers can use their voucher 5 days after the ticket refund to purchase flight tickets, checked baggage, and other additional services from Vietnam Airlines. The voucher is valid for 1 year from the date of the refund.
For customers who wish to receive a refund to the original payment method, Vietnam Airlines will process the refund 3 months after the final flight date listed on the ticket if the ticket is eligible for a refund.
