Europaturm TV Tower
Europaturm is a telecommunications tower standing 337.5 meters tall in Frankfurt. It is the tallest tower in Western Europe and the fourth tallest in the world. Designed by architect Erwin Heinle, construction began in 1974. Upon completion in 1979, Europaturm became the tallest free-standing structure in the Federal Republic of Germany (331 meters).
In September 2004, the antenna at the top of the tower was replaced, bringing the tower’s total height to 337.5 meters. This 6-ton antenna was lifted to its highest point with the help of a helicopter.
Westhafen Tower
Westhafen Tower is a skyscraper located in the Gutleutviertel district of Frankfurt, Germany. Designed by architects Schneider and Schumacher, it was completed in 2004. The name Westhafen translates to 'West Harbor Tower' - one of the first buildings at the West Harbor of Germany.
From the outside, the building has a cylindrical shape, but the floors are square, with 18 music venues. Each rental unit across the 30 floors above ground measures approximately 820 square meters. One of the tower’s architectural highlights is its diamond-shaped facade, consisting of 3,556 triangular glass panels. A section of the triangular glass at the lower corner can automatically open for ventilation purposes.
Goethe Tower
Goethe Tower is a 43-meter tall structure made entirely of wood, located at the northern edge of the Sachsenhausen forest near Frankfurt am Main. It ranks as one of the tallest wooden towers in Germany, after the Jahrtausendturm in Magdeburg and the two towers at the Bruck Airfield Test Facility (Blumenthal, Linsen).
The wooden tower was initially constructed in 1867 in this area, standing 22 meters tall at the time. After World War I, the tower became unstable and had to be dismantled. In 1931, Goethe Tower was rebuilt with funds from Jewish businessman Gustav Gerst. The opening ceremony took place in November 1931. The city of Frankfurt contributed over 340 cubic meters of pine and oak wood to the construction.
Today, Goethe Tower is a popular spot for sightseeing and picnics with family and friends. At the base of the tower, there is a large playground and a café built to serve both locals and international visitors.
Tháp Main
Tháp Main là một tòa nhà chọc trời 56 tầng tọa lạc trong quận Innenstadt, thành phố Frankfurt, Đức. Với vị trí gần dòng sông Main, tháp được đặt cùng tên. Tổng chiều cao của tòa nhà gồm cả ăng-ten chóp là 240 mét.
Tòa tháp có 5 tầng ngầm và một đài quan sát mở cửa cho công chúng tham quan khi du lịch Frankfurt. Công trình Tháp Main được xây dựng giữa năm 1996 và 1999, được sử dụng làm trụ sở cho Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen (Helaba), văn phòng của Merrill Lynch và Standard & Poor và một studio truyền hình của nhà sản xuất Hessischer Rundfunk. Văn phòng cho thuê từ tháng 11 năm 1999 và lễ khánh thành chính thức diễn ra vào tháng 1 năm 2000. Các phóng viên đài truyền hình Frankfurt sẽ đứng trên đỉnh của tòa nhà này và truyền đi bản tin dự báo thời tiết.
