What are the regulations of Bamboo Airways for passengers traveling with infants and children?
General requirements for passengers traveling with children (INF and CHD)
- Must be capable of taking care of the child throughout the entire flight.
- Cannot be the companion of a passenger with a disability at the same time.
- Each adult is allowed to accompany only one infant (INF). Bamboo Airways does not permit one adult to travel with two infants. If an adult is accompanying more than one infant, the second infant and beyond must be booked with an additional fee for the accompanying flight attendant service.
- If the companion of the infant is a pregnant passenger (PREG), then:
+ A pregnant passenger (PREG) is allowed to accompany a maximum of one infant (INF) and/or an unlimited number of children aged 6 and above.
+ The pregnant passenger (PREG) must be under 28 weeks pregnant and does not need to provide a health clearance before the flight.
- If the companion of the child (CHD) is a pregnant passenger (PREG), then:
+ The pregnant passenger (PREG) can only travel with a maximum of one child (CHD) under 6 years old and/or an unlimited number of children aged 6 and above.
+ The pregnant passenger (PREG) must be under 32 weeks pregnant and is not required to provide a health clearance before the flight.
- The pregnant passenger (PREG) may accompany a maximum of one infant (INF) or one child (CHD) under 6 years old and/or an unlimited number of children aged 6 and above. If the PREG passenger is traveling with both an INF and a CHD under 6, they must book and pay for the flight attendant service for any additional infants or children under 6 beyond the specified limit.
Requirements for passengers traveling with infants (INF)
- Each adult is only allowed to travel with one infant. Bamboo Airways does not accept one adult traveling with two infants. If an adult is traveling with more than one infant, starting from the second infant, additional service fees for an accompanying flight attendant must be paid.
- Requirements for the accompanying person:
+ Must be 18 years of age or older (as of the departure date of the flight).
+ Meet the general requirements for the accompanying person as mentioned above.
+ The accompanying person must not be a passenger with special conditions.
+ If the person traveling with the infant is a pregnant woman:
Pregnant women passengers are allowed to travel only with a maximum of one infant and/or an unlimited number of children aged 6 years and above.
The pregnancy stage of a pregnant woman passenger must be under 28 weeks, and she is not considered a passenger requiring health clearance prior to the flight.
Requirements for passengers traveling with children (CHD)

For domestic flights within Vietnam: the accompanying adult does not need to be the parent/guardian and is not required to provide a letter of authorization from the parent/guardian.
For international flights:
For children holding Vietnamese nationality
On international flights to Vietnam, the accompanying adult must have valid identification, but they do not need to be the parent/guardian or authorized representative.
On flights from Vietnam to international destinations, the accompanying adult must be the parent/guardian or an authorized representative.
For children holding foreign nationality or those without nationality
On international flights to Vietnam, passengers must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or an authorized representative.
For flights from Vietnam to international destinations, it is not mandatory for the accompanying person to be a parent, guardian, or authorized representative, unless the destination country has specific requirements.
