In today's world, it's hard to imagine life without electronic gadgets. However, when flying, you'll need to follow specific airline rules regarding electronics. So, what should you be aware of if your luggage contains electronic devices during your flight?
What items are classified as electronics?

When bringing a laptop onboard a flight, you must comply with the airline's specific regulations.
The following items are considered electronic devices, including:
- Laptop (computer)
- Smartphone (mobile phone)
- Tablet (iPad)
- Camera, camcorder
- Portable charger
And other technology-related devices and gadgets.
What should you consider when bringing electronics on a plane?
- Airlines generally recommend that passengers place items like laptops, smartphones, cameras, iPads, etc., in their carry-on luggage to ensure the safety of these devices and to prevent damage or loss during transportation. If passengers prefer to check them in, they must pack these items securely to avoid breakage or damage, and it is crucial to turn off all devices completely. Additionally, passengers may need to sign a liability waiver with the airline. Along with electronic devices, valuables such as jewelry, cash, and important documents should also be carried personally by the passenger.
- When carrying electronic devices in your carry-on luggage, it is important to follow certain guidelines, rather than packing them however you like. The following regulations must be observed:
+ The electronic devices must have a battery capacity of less than 100Wh or a weight of under 2 grams.
+ Electronic devices with a battery capacity between 100Wh and 160Wh or a weight between 2g and 8g must be accepted for transport by the airline.
Electronic devices with a battery capacity over 160Wh or a weight exceeding 8g are prohibited from transport, whether as checked luggage or carry-on.
- When passing through security screening, all electronic devices in your carry-on must be placed separately on the tray before going through the x-ray machine. The tray carrying the electronics will move along the conveyor belt through the scanner.
Please take note: it’s best to prepare in advance by organizing your electronic devices neatly and separately, ensuring they are easy to access for inspection and screening. After the tray with your items passes through the scanner, be sure to retrieve your belongings immediately to avoid leaving anything behind.
