CHILD STROLLER
Vietnam Airlines offers free transportation for baby strollers (for children under 2 years old) on board. We encourage passengers to check in strollers as part of their checked luggage when completing check-in. Upon arrival at the destination airport, strollers will be returned as priority luggage.
STROLLER SERVICE ON FLIGHTS
Vietnam Airlines offers free cradle services on flights for children under 2 years old and weighing less than 11 kg. Due to the limited availability of cradles on each flight, we prioritize requests that are made in advance.
SERVICE FOR CONVERTING TRAVEL ITEMS INTO FOOTRESTS OR BEDS (PIB)
Vietnam Airlines provides PIB services on flights for children (from 2 to under 12 years old) with popular brands such as Wick, Bedbox, Fly Tot, 1st Class Kid Travel Pillo, Plane Pal, etc.
SPECIAL MEALS FOR CHILDREN
Vietnam Airlines provides free special meal services for children (under 2 years old and from 2 to under 12 years old). The availability of these special meals depends on the specific flight route and airport. Detailed information about special meals is as follows:
• Meal for children under 2 years old - Baby Meal
The target audience for this service includes infants and children under 2 years old.
Meal guidelines: Avoid the use of excessive spices, wheat, gluten, fish, eggs, citrus fruits like oranges and lemons, pork, veal, beef, and bone-in meats. Solid food should not be provided to children under 1 year of age.
• Meal for children aged 2 to 5 years - Child Meal
- Passengers: children aged between 2 and 5 years old.
- Meal guidelines: No meat or fish with bones, no seeds, food with strong spices, thick sauces, hard candy, or whole grapes.
* Note: For the safety of children, parents or guardians should pay attention to the following information:
- Vietnam Airlines không vận chuyển trẻ em dưới 07 ngày tuổi hoặc trẻ em phải nuôi trong lồng kính vì sinh thiếu tháng hoặc vì lí do sức khỏe. Trẻ em phải được xác nhận sức khỏe trước chuyến bay trong trường hợp trẻ cần chăm sóc y tế đặc biệt.
- Đối với trẻ em dưới 02 tuổi, trẻ em phải được ngồi cùng người lớn. Vietnam Airlines không cung cấp ghế ngồi riêng cho trẻ.
- Đối với trẻ em từ 02 đến dưới 12 tuổi, trẻ em bắt buộc đi cùng người lớn. Trường hợp trẻ em không có người đi cùng, vui lòng đặt trước dịch vụ trẻ em đi một mình.
Children's Travel Services for Unaccompanied Minors
Here are the services available for children traveling alone:
• On domestic journeys:
- Children aged 2 to under 6 years must register for the Unaccompanied Minor service and an accompanying flight attendant.
- Children from 6 to under 12 years old:
+ Mandatory service registration: Unaccompanied Minor service.
+ Optional service: Accompanying flight attendant.
- Children aged 12 to under 18 years do not need to register for services or may optionally choose the Unaccompanied Minor/Accompanying flight attendant service.
• On international journeys
Children aged between 2 and under 6 years old must register for the service of 'Unaccompanied Children' and 'Accompanying Attendant'.
Children aged between 6 and under 12 years old:
Services that need to be registered: Unaccompanied Children;
+ Optional service: Accompaniment by a flight attendant.
- Children aged 12 to under 14 years old:
+ Required service: Unaccompanied minors (if the child is a Vietnamese citizen on a flight from Vietnam to an international destination or a foreign national/non-citizen on an international flight to Vietnam);
Optional service: An accompanying flight attendant is available.
Children aged 14 to under 18 do not need to register for services or opt for the Unaccompanied Minor/Accompanying Attendant service.
