Chư Đăng Ya Volcano
Chư Đăng Ya, located in Chư Păh district, is about 30km from Pleiku city. This is a famous tourist spot in Gia Lai that attracts many visitors. Chư Đăng Ya is an ancient dormant volcano, which has been inactive for millions of years. The crater is funnel-shaped, standing about 500m above sea level. It is hidden among the lush forests of the Central Highlands. Throughout the year, Chư Đăng Ya changes its colors. During the dry season, the volcano is covered in a vibrant yellow hue from the thousands of wild sunflowers. In the rainy season, Chư Đăng Ya is adorned with the rich red of wild ginger flowers.



Kon Chư Răng Nature Reserve
Kon Chư Răng Nature Reserve boasts a diverse and rich ecosystem with many rare species. The forest here is mainly ancient and primeval, interspersed with hills, rivers, and waterfalls. In 1986, Kon Chư Răng was declared a protected area to ensure its conservation. Within the reserve, there are 12 waterfalls over 15 meters high, nestled deep in the untouched forest, attracting many adventurers. In the core area of the forest, 17 households of the Ba Na ethnic people live harmoniously with nature.

Bai Ho
Bai Ho is located in the northern part of Gia Lai, about 7km from Pleiku. The lake is oval-shaped, covering an area of about 230 hectares, surrounded by mountains and lush pine forests. It is considered the most beautiful natural lake in the Central Highlands. Bai Ho is also a well-known tourist destination in Gia Lai. Scientifically, Bai Ho is a dormant volcano crater. However, for the local ethnic minorities, the lake is surrounded by many fascinating legends. The vastness of the lake resembles the sea. Despite the hottest and driest seasons, the water here has never run dry.


Ham Rong Mountain
Located more than 10km from Pleiku, Ham Rong Volcano rises over 1,000 meters and has a crescent shape with a deep groove facing south. This was also the direction of lava flow when the volcano was active. In the lower areas, locals often find fossilized tree trunks believed to have been buried by lava that engulfed forests. The mountain is shaped like a horseshoe, with a large deep groove cutting through the side from the crater towards the south. Currently, the mountain peak is home to a telecommunications station serving the entire province.

Minh Thanh Pagoda
Located about 2km from the center of Pleiku, Minh Thanh Pagoda sits on a gentle hill and stands out with its unique architectural complex. The pagoda was built in 1964, but it was damaged and rebuilt in 1997. After over 10 years of renovation, Minh Thanh Pagoda now features a blend of Japanese, Chinese, and Taiwanese architectural styles. Today, the pagoda is not only a place for Buddhist worshippers but also attracts many tourists who come to admire the surroundings.


Ialy Hydroelectric Lake
The Ialy Hydroelectric Plant was constructed in 1993 and completed in 2002. The facility features beautiful architecture, including several key structures like the flood discharge dam, a memorial, the water intake gate, and an underground power plant located nearly 300 meters beneath the surface. Many tourists visiting Gia Lai take a tour of the hydroelectric plant and enjoy the expansive reservoir area that stretches across both Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces.

Phu Cuong Waterfall
Phu Cuong Waterfall is located in Chư Sê district and was formed atop an extinct volcano. Regardless of the season, the waterfall exudes a captivating charm amidst the mountains and forests. With a height of over 40 meters, the sound of the rushing water can be heard from afar. When the water cascades from the heights, it creates a foam of white spray. Xung Khoeng Waterfall is located in La Me commune, Chư Hơ Rông district. Ha Tam Pine Forest

The forest is filled with centuries-old pine trees, with trunks reaching up to 2 meters in diameter, dating back to the French colonial era. At an altitude of 1,000 to 1,200 meters above sea level, the forest is home to a rich variety of flora and fauna. Among the exhibits, there are many valuable items related to traditional culture, such as the Gong collection of the Jrai and Bahnar ethnic groups, rare ancient pottery, the An Thanh bronze drum, and Cham Pa stone reliefs.

Kon Ka Kinh National Park
Kon Ka Kinh National Park is located in the northeastern part of Gia Lai, about 50km from Pleiku. Kon Ka Kinh is the highest peak on the Pleiku Plateau, standing at 1,748 meters above sea level. The park is home to 687 species of vascular plants from 459 genera and 140 families. It also hosts 428 species of animals, including 42 species of mammals, 130 species of birds, and 51 species of reptiles and amphibians. Additionally, there are 205 species of butterflies from 10 families. The park’s allure is further enhanced by its natural beauty, with rivers, streams, waterfalls, and rapids. With a cool climate year-round and fresh air, Kon Ka Kinh is an ideal destination for nature lovers.


Làng kháng chiến Stơr
