Singapore Airlines permits the transportation of your pets either as checked luggage or in the cargo hold. However, it is advisable to review the necessary information beforehand to ensure you are adequately prepared for your flight.

Transporting pets as checked baggage
Your pet can travel with you on the same flight as checked baggage, provided that it is at least three months old. Singapore Airlines is happy to transport all domestic cats and most dog breeds. Service dogs are allowed in the cabin with you. Depending on the departure, arrival, or transit country, additional restrictions may apply.
In accordance with safety and hygiene regulations, if the combined weight of your pet and its carrier exceeds 32 kg, your pet will be transported as cargo.

PREPARING YOUR PET BEFORE THE FLIGHT
Pre-flight checklist
As such, Singapore Airlines requires passengers to provide the following information about their pet:
- Breed / Species / Type
- Gender
- Name
- Age
- Color
- Pet's weight
- Weight of the transport carrier
- Dimensions of the transport carrier (length x width x height)
- Import/export/transit permit (if applicable)
You will also need the following documents when checking in at the airport:
- Permit or export/import/transit documents from the relevant authority of the departure/arrival/transit country
- Valid health certificate and rabies vaccination record
- Additional documents as required by the relevant authority of the departure/arrival/transit country.
Checklist for the day of departure
To ensure a comfortable trip for both you and your pet, please:
- Check in at least two hours before your flight
- Submit the completed liability waiver form and present the original copies of all required documents at our check-in counter
- Ensure your pet is in good health and physically fit for the journey
- Make sure your pet has enough food and water
- Place a favorite toy or treat inside the carrier to keep your pet comfortable
- Write your pet's name on the outside of the transport carrier
REQUIREMENTS FOR PET CARRIERS WITH SINGAPORE AIRLINES
The design and structure of the pet carrier must comply with IATA regulations. The maximum height of the carrier depends on the aircraft that will be transporting your pet: 0.56m for the A330, 1.01m for the B777, 0.6m for the A380, and 0.7m for the A350p.
To ensure a safe and comfortable journey for your pet, the transport carrier must:
- Be appropriately sized. The carrier should provide enough space for your pet to turn around, stand, sit upright, and lie down naturally.
- Have adequate ventilation. The carrier must be well-ventilated on at least three sides, with most of the airflow coming from the top of the carrier.
- Include a tray for food and water. This can either be fixed inside the carrier or removable, allowing for easy refills from outside the carrier.
- Properly secured. This ensures that your pet cannot escape from the carrier.
- The minimum dimensions (length, width, and height) of the carrier depend on the size of your pet, and include the following:
Length = A + ½ B
Width = C x 2
Height = D
A = the length of your pet from the tip of the nose to the base of the tail
B = the height from the ground to the elbow joint
C = the width from one shoulder to the other or the widest point, whichever is greater
D = the height of your pet in a natural standing position, from the top of the head or ears to the floor, depending on which is greater
If traveling with multiple pets, each pet must be placed in its own transport crate. Puppies or kittens from the same litter can share a crate if they are at least three months old and their combined weight does not exceed 14 kg. Each crate can hold up to two puppies or kittens.
