Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster were seen dining together in what appeared to be a date night outing.

The duo, who performed together in Broadway’s The Music Man throughout 2022 and early 2023, were spotted in Santa Monica holding hands and smiling at each other. The photos are available for viewing here, as reported by People.

This news comes just over a year after Hugh, 56, and his longtime spouse Deborra-Lee Furness made the announcement that they were going separate ways through a joint statement.

“We have been fortunate to spend nearly three decades together as husband and wife in a joyful and loving union. Now, our journey is evolving, and we have made the decision to separate to allow for personal growth,” wrote Deborra and Hugh, who were married for 27 years.
"Our family has always been, and will remain, our top priority. We step into this new phase with gratitude, love, and kindness. We deeply appreciate your respect for our privacy as we navigate this transition in our lives,” they concluded, adding, “This will be the only statement either of us will share.”
The news of their separation shocked many fans, particularly since Hugh had shared a heartfelt message just months earlier celebrating their 27th wedding anniversary.

"I love you Deb. Today marks our 27th wedding anniversary. 27 YEARS!! My love for you is beyond words. Together, we’ve built a beautiful family and life. Your laughter, spirit, generosity, humor, cheekiness, courage, and unwavering loyalty are gifts I cherish. I love you with all my heart,” he posted on Instagram.
In the meantime, Sutton, 49, filed for divorce from her husband of 10 years, Ted Griffin, in October of the previous year.

Sutton once referred to Hugh as one of her “best friends,” reflecting on their strong onstage connection in 2022.

“He’s known for having an impeccable reputation as the hardest working, most kind, and generous person — and that’s absolutely true,” she shared with Vogue. “He’s become one of my closest friends, which was unexpected, as you typically go into these projects hoping you’ll get along. But we ended up spending Memorial Day with our families. It’s such a joy to make new friends after 40.”
“Our director said early on that when watching two characters fall in love, you look for the moments where they make each other smile. That’s what sparked it, and every night it’s a unique, spontaneous moment. It walks the fine line between whether it’s Harold and Marian, or Hugh and Sutton?” she explained about their onstage chemistry.
