It was 2018 when a new film adaptation of a much-loved YA novel dropped on Netflix, and it sent us all into a frenzy. That film, of course, was To All the Boys I've Loved Before.

Featuring Lana Condor and Noah Centineo as Lara Jean and Peter Kavinsky, To All the Boys quickly became a Netflix sensation, captivating audiences not just with Lana and Noah's chemistry, but also because it revived the charm of the rom-com genre.

The success of the first movie led to two more sequels, both based on the remaining books from Jenny Han's beloved series of the same name.
And now, the To All the Boys universe has expanded with the spinoff show XO, Kitty, which follows Kitty (Anna Cathcart), Lara Jean's younger sister, as she navigates life at a boarding school in Seoul, the same one where their late mother once studied.

Much like To All the Boys, the spinoff focuses on Kitty’s quest for love and her continued role as a matchmaker, just like she did for Lara Jean and Peter K.
Since the series premiered, several familiar To All the Boys characters have made their return. For example, Dan (John Corbett) and Trina (Sarayu Blue) both appeared in the first season.

Dae (Minyeong Choi), one of Kitty's love interests, was also a boy she encountered in Seoul during the third To All the Boys movie.
And now, Season 2 is available on Netflix, featuring some key guest stars, including Noah Centineo reprising his role as the beloved Peter Kavinsky.

Peter makes his appearance in Season 2, Episode 6, titled "Kiss and Make Up." He visits Kitty at K.I.S.S., her school in Seoul, while attending a college lacrosse tournament.

In his debut scene on XO, Kitty, the show plays "I Like Me Better" by Lauv, a song that also featured in To All the Boys I've Loved Before when Lara Jean and Peter went to Aspen with their friends.
And as if no time had passed, Noah seamlessly slips back into his role as Peter K., as Kitty fills him in on her incredibly complicated romantic life, with him even offering advice on her situation with Min Ho (Sang Heon Lee).

Peter also shares an update about his relationship with Lara Jean, and they are still going strong. Honestly, I can't stop swooning over Peter Kavinsky as if it's still 2018.

In an interview with Deadline, XO, Kitty Season 2 showrunner Jessica O'Toole revealed how Noah's cameo came about, and it seems it was nothing short of good fortune.

"The Recruit [Noah's current Netflix series] was being filmed in Seoul, and there happened to be one day he could shoot with us, which coincided with the first day of filming for the full season," Jessica shared. "He's featured in a later episode, but we were determined to make it happen. He was incredibly kind and excited to be a part of it."

Jessica referred to the cameo as "serendipitous," noting that it took a great deal of effort to make it a reality. Since they filmed it early in the season but it wouldn't air until Episode 6, scripts were still being finalized, the director had to be flown in, and much more had to be coordinated.

She wrapped up by telling Deadline, "[Noah] brings such an effortless, friendly, and warm presence wherever he goes. Watching them enjoy working together and witnessing their chemistry was a perfect way to kick off the season."

Noah shared his thoughts on returning as Peter K. in a behind-the-scenes video for Netflix. He admitted it was "scary" stepping back into the role, explaining, "You’re revisiting something you did five years ago. It was incredibly special, and you want to do it justice. You want to honor the fans, the character, and the world. You don’t want to disappoint anyone."

Peter K. buying Lara Jean cute pens and notebooks in 2025?! I've been waiting for moments like this to happen.
Noah also spoke about reconnecting with Anna on set, saying, "It was amazing, surreal, and wonderful. She's so talented." He continued, "But coming back and working with Anna brings a certain magic to the entire universe Jenny has created."

It seems all their effort truly paid off, as fans are absolutely loving Noah's return as Peter Kavinsky in Season 2:
