14. 12 Monkeys [1995]

Story: In 1996, a deadly virus devastates the globe, wiping out five billion people. By 2035, only 1% of the population remains, forced to live underground. Story: Grace (Nicole Kidman), a beautiful fugitive, arrives in the remote town of Dogville while fleeing from a gang of criminals. With some persuasion from Tom, the self-proclaimed spokesman of the town, the residents agree to shelter her, with Grace offering to work in return. Story: A brutal serial killer known as ‘Jigsaw’ has been abducting people to teach them a gruesome lesson about the value of life. His method is simple yet horrifying: victims must choose between injuring themselves or harming others in order to survive. One of his latest victims, a man named Adam, wakes up in a decrepit building, chained by his leg to a pipe in a dirty basement. Across from him, another man, Dr. Lawrence Gordon, is also shackled. Together, they find the body of a man who has taken his own life, lying between them with a gun in one hand and a tape recorder in the other.
The Twist: The man on the floor is revealed to be Jigsaw, and he is still alive.

7. Sixth Sense [1999]

Story: Malcolm Crowe, a child psychologist, receives an award on the same evening he is confronted by a troubled former patient. Following this encounter, Crowe begins working with a young boy who shares the same troubling symptoms as his ex-patient: the boy can “see dead people.” Crowe spends considerable time with the boy, Cole, much to the frustration of his wife. 3. Planet of the Apes [1968]

Story: In 3978 AD, a spaceship with four crew members crashes on a distant planet. One crew member dies in space, and the remaining three venture to explore the planet. They soon discover that the planet is eerily similar to their own, but it is inhabited by intelligent apes. After one crew member is killed, the others are captured and taken to the apes' city. After undergoing a trial, one crew member escapes with a female human native to the planet. Together, they help some of their ape allies escape a religious trial, before fleeing into the wilderness.
The Twist: The story is set in a post-apocalyptic future on Earth, following a devastating atomic war.

Story: Marion Crane, a frustrated office worker in Phoenix, grows disillusioned with her life. Her affair with Sam is strained by his alimony payments, which prevent them from getting married. One day, Marion is entrusted with $40,000 to deposit at the bank. Seizing the chance for a fresh start, she steals the money and heads to Sam’s store in California. However, on a stormy night during her long drive, she takes a detour off the main highway and checks into the Bates Motel. The motel is run by a quiet young man named Norman, who seems to be under the control of his overbearing mother.
The Twist: It is revealed that Norman's mother is actually Norman himself, disguised in drag.
1. The Usual Suspects [1995]

Story: After a boat explosion at San Pedro pier leaves 27 dead and $91 million in drug money, the only survivors are a terrified, severely burned Hungarian terrorist and Verbal Kint, a handicapped con artist. Reluctantly, Kint is forced to recount the events leading up to the explosion. His tale starts six weeks earlier when five criminals were arrested by New York police, who were desperate for suspects in a hijacking case, and builds to the revelation of a mysterious figure, the criminal mastermind Keyser Soze.
The Twist: It is revealed that Verbal Kint is actually Keyser Soze, and the entire story he tells the police is a fabrication.
