It’s time to ditch the “Super Bowl party” idea entirely — there’s simply no valid reason for any American to throw one for this specific Super Bowl. (And honestly, haven’t we given Tom Brady enough media time already? Seriously—where does it stop?)
You can still enjoy the game, of course — and if you do, you absolutely should whip up some snacks. In fact, go all out: A Super Bowl feast for one (or however many people you’ve got at home). These recipes can easily be scaled for a group, but there’s something extra satisfying about not having to. (Making one pizza is fun; making seven is a chore.)
A hearty chili crafted for a perfect Frito pie

Making a small batch of chili is no easy feat, but I trust you’ll manage to enjoy quite a bit of this classic Texas recipe before halftime. It’s made with beef, onion, garlic, a touch of tomato sauce, and an assortment of spices — absolutely perfect for Frito pie. (When it comes to cheese, I say go for Whiz.) If meat’s off the menu for you or anyone at home, no problem — a soyrizo Frito pie will satisfy the entire crew.
A ridiculously delicious casserole

I’ve got two casserole masterpieces that are perfect for Sunday, and both are total hits. One is essentially a glorious heap of potato skins, but it’s a carefully and creatively arranged heap. The other is sheer madness. (If you’ve ever wanted to experience pizza, buffalo chicken dip, and queso in one bite, go for the madness.)
Your very own personalized Taco Bell feast
The beauty of crafting your own Crunchwraps is that you get to customize the filling. You can use ground beef (and make it incredibly juicy and flavorful), or you can swap the protein entirely. Feeling adventurous? Try stuffing your crunchy wraps with Taco Bell-style potatoes, or a mix of potatoes and beef for something even bolder.
Savory meat-filled popcorn

This is the low-effort choice. Grab a generous amount of bacon grease, pop some corn in it, and season it with MSG, shaker parmesan, nutritional yeast, or all three. Pair with beer and keep going until you're full.
Steamed hams

I've been hooked on these Instant Pot burgers lately. Since you can't really cook more than four at once, they’re perfect for a smaller Super Bowl gathering. I've made them twice this year, and I love how juicy and convenient they are. They're what fast food burgers aim to be, and once they’re in the IP, they need zero attention, meaning you won’t miss a single play (or commercial).
Gas station-style air-fried hot dogs

If you've got an air fryer, I highly recommend cooking a few hot dogs in it. They come out firm and shiny, just like the ones you’d find on the rollers at 7-Eleven, but without the same level of concern. They’re great with a simple squirt of mustard, but Super Bowl Sunday demands luxury. It calls for chili dogs, and isn’t it perfect that you already have the ideal chili recipe on hand? (See slide one.)
Stretchy, velvety hybrid queso

I won’t pick between stretchy cheese and creamy queso, and thankfully, I don’t have to (and I won’t share either). You can combine them to make a cheesy sauce that’s loaded with stretch, but still stays smooth and spreadable, even at room temperature. (Which means less risk of broken chips.)
Superior artichoke dip

I have two game-changing strategies for a better artichoke dip. First, swap the spinach for heartier, more flavorful Brussels sprouts. Second, stir in some pepper jack cheese. It’s the ideal balance of creamy and salty, offering satisfying cheese pulls and a subtle, sweet heat that keeps your taste buds hooked. Combine these two tricks, and you’ve got a more delicious, bolder dip (that, once again, you don’t have to share).
Homemade stuffed crust pizza

If you’re in your 30s, you likely remember when Stuffed Crust Pizza first made its debut, and you probably lost your mind over it. Well, now you’re an adult, which means you can use your oven to make your own version, picking your own toppings without any input from your parents (or, in this case, your Super Bowl guests). The ‘stuffed’ part of the pizza is brought to life by another ‘90s legend—the simple string cheese. For maximum nostalgia, consume while wearing Skechers platform sneakers.
