It’s Monday again, which means it’s time for you to pick a wild new sous vide challenge for me. Last week got a little out of hand (in the best way), and I ended up cooking six Hot Pockets with my Anova.
Clearly, my attempts to control the chaos didn’t quite work, and I still want to try cooking pig’s feet at some point. But I’m sure we’ll get to that eventually. Along with your wonderful comments, I’ve received some great emails with new topic suggestions. I truly appreciate all the feedback (and apologize if I haven’t gotten back to you yet), but the best way to get your experiment on the list is to leave a comment so others can vote for it. (I can’t make this happen without the stars!) Some of the suggestions I’ve gotten include:
Beef Tongue: Yes, absolutely.
Meat + Veg: A few people have asked for a “meal in a bag” idea, where a main dish and a side are cooked together. This sounds fun.
Various Puddings: Rice pudding, bread pudding, flan, and more.
Liver: Maybe with onions?
