With October just beginning, now’s the ideal moment to start stressing about Thanksgiving. (And for our Canadian neighbors, I know it's much sooner — sorry, I can’t offer much help.) Capitalizing on everyone’s Turkey Day panic, HelloFresh has debuted its first-ever Thanksgiving Box.
This might seem heretical to more experienced home chefs, but if you’re hosting your first Thanksgiving or still recovering from the chaos of the last one, this box could be a solid choice. (At the very least, it’ll save you from a nerve-wracking grocery run.) Before diving into the details and cost, let’s take a look at the menu. There are two options—one with everything you need to make this:
Roast Turkey with Garlic Herb Butter and Pan Gravy
Cranberry Sauce with Orange, Ginger, and Cinnamon
Classic Gravy with Garlic and Herbs
Garlic Mashed Potatoes with Crispy Fried Sage
Cranberry and Chicken Sausage Stuffing with Celery, Thyme, and Sage
Green Beans with Caramelized Shallots and a Crispy Breadcrumb and Almond Topping
Apple Ginger Crisp with Cinnamon Pecan Crumble
There’s also a “Sides & Desserts” box, which includes everything except the turkey. The full Thanksgiving Box with turkey starts at $14.99 per serving, and serves 8-10 people (around $150), while the Sides & Desserts box costs $8.90 per person. You can place an order from October 9th to November 8th, or until they run out of turkeys. The box will be delivered from November 13th-18th, which gives you plenty of time to let the turkey thaw.
