Planning to cook this Thanksgiving? Yeah, me neither! The thought of indulging in food with friends and family is great, but for many of us, the idea of having to prepare that feast ourselves is daunting.
Not all of us are culinary experts, which is why several restaurants now offer complete Thanksgiving meals you can pick up and serve as if you spent the entire day cooking. Whether you're after a full meal or just a few sides to complement your homemade dishes, here are eight national chains offering holiday meals for takeout this year.
If you're hosting a large crowd this Thanksgiving 2024
If you're looking for a full Thanksgiving meal, don't stress. There are plenty of choices for you.
Denny’s is offering a "Turkey Bundle" this year for $54.99, serving four people. It includes carved turkey breast, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, and cranberry sauce, plus an additional side of your choice. Orders must be placed at least 24 hours in advance, and can be picked up between Friday, Nov. 22 and Wednesday, Nov. 27.
Cracker Barrel is serving up heat-and-serve Thanksgiving meals for 2024, with several price options. For $184.99, you can get a meal to feed 8 to 10 people with turkey, casserole, pie, and more. There are also smaller options starting at $119.99 for 4 to 6 people. Meals are available from Nov. 23 to Dec. 1, but other meals are available on different dates. Visit the site for more details and don’t miss their famous hashbrown casserole.
If you’re craving an Italian take on Thanksgiving, Buca de Beppo has you covered. They offer both dine-in and take-out meals, with 10% off if you order before Nov. 26. The mashed potatoes feature garlic and the stuffing has Italian seasoning, making for a unique twist on the classic, though still satisfying for purists. Check out local prices on the website.
Golden Corral is offering meals for 6 to 8 people, with turkey, ham, or beef, alongside mashed potatoes, stuffing, and sides. A la carte options are available, and prices are lower than last year—complete meals start at just $99.99. Orders must be placed by Nov. 20 for pickup.
If you're seeking smaller Thanksgiving meal options this year...
Perhaps you just need a few sides to accompany your home-cooked meal, or you're keeping it low-key with a small dinner for yourself or a few people. A large takeout order isn't necessary, but you can still check out these options (in addition to the a la carte choices from the restaurants listed above).
Popeye’s is offering its Cajun-style turkey once again this year for $99.99. It feeds 8 to 12 people and arrives pre-cooked, ready to thaw, heat, and enjoy. Don’t forget to add some sides to complete the meal.
Boston Market is offering buffet-style and individual plates, allowing for customization based on your party size. To order, call (303)317-6900.
Bob Evans is offering Farmhouse Feasts in different sizes. A premium feast for 8 to 10 people is available, but you can also get a ham meal for 4 people with dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls, and pie for just $84.99.
While a grocery store may not be your first thought for heat-and-serve Thanksgiving meals, Whole Foods is offering full meals ranging from $99.99 to $259.99, along with a la carte appetizers, sides, and more. Orders must be placed by Nov. 26 and picked up by Nov. 28.
