What are Creaking Hearts in Minecraft?
The Creaking Heart is a living block that can either be crafted or discovered in the Pale Garden. During nighttime or thunderstorms, the Creaking Heart summons the Creaking and shields it from all damage. To defeat the Creaking, players must locate and destroy the Creaking Heart.
How to Find Creaking Hearts in Minecraft
To locate the Creaking Heart block, players must venture into the Pale Garden. There are several ways to reach the Pale Garden, but the easiest method is by using the Locate Command.

Once you're in the Pale Garden, look for the white Pale Oak Trees and check for glowing orange spots on them, as these indicate the presence of a Creaking Heart. Be cautious, though, as the Creaking mobs might be nearby and could attack if you're not careful. Additionally, remember to enchant your tools with Silk Touch to collect the Creaking Heart.
- Note: The Creaking only moves when you're not looking at it, so your positioning is key to keeping it stationary. Pay attention to where you're facing to prevent it from wandering.
For those unfamiliar, the Silk Touch enchantment in Minecraft allows blocks to drop themselves rather than their usual items. Without Silk Touch, the Creaking Heart will drop nothing when you attempt to collect it. Therefore, ensure your tool is enchanted with Silk Touch before hunting for Creaking Hearts.
How to Craft Creaking Hearts in Minecraft
This method is only applicable once you've obtained at least one Creaking Heart to gather the necessary materials: Pale Oak wood and Resin Blocks. These resources help you face the Creaking more effectively without needing to search for Creaking Hearts every time you engage in combat.

+ 2 Pale Oak logs
+ 1 Resin Block

How to Use Creaking Hearts in Minecraft
Once you have a Creaking Heart, you can reactivate it by surrounding it with Pale Oak Logs. When the Creaking Heart emits an orange glow, it will summon the Creaking mob in the area.
Destroying the Creaking Heart rewards you with a vibrant orange Resin Clump, which can be used as a building material. When paired with the pale gray hue of Pale Oak wood, resin bricks add a lively and unique touch to your structures in the Minecraft world.
