Recently, a revenue ranking was released, showing that Hoyoverse's blockbuster products have unexpectedly shown signs of a significant decline
When it comes to the gacha game segment, it is almost certain that no current name has the ability to surpass the blockbusters of Hoyoverse. The reason is that this game company owns a series of renowned hits, such as Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Zenless Zone Zero. These games continuously demonstrate their dominance on revenue charts, not only in the domestic market but also globally.

However, as 2025 began, the revenue of Hoyoverse's game products unexpectedly showed signs of a surprising decline. They even failed to make it into the top 10 highest-grossing game products in many different countries.

In this ranking, it can be observed that Genshin Impact is teetering on the edge of the top 10 in the Chinese market. Meanwhile, in Japan—a market that highly favors Anime-style gacha products—Hoyoverse's games have experienced an even more severe decline. Only Honkai: Star Rail managed to secure a spot in the top 7, while Genshin Impact completely fell out of the top 10.
It is worth noting that recently, Hoyoverse's game products have had highly explosive updates. While Honkai: Star Rail introduced its major 3.0 update, Genshin Impact also featured the appearance of the Pyro Archon Mavuika in version 5.3.

Currently, there is no explanation for this unexpected decline, as it remains unclear whether this is a statistical error or if Hoyoverse's products are gradually losing their appeal among the gaming community. Perhaps we will need to wait for more accurate data from future rankings to find out.
