According to recent leaks, Doom: The Dark Ages could be released on March 15, ahead of the anticipated release many fans had in mind.
Doom: The Dark Ages was announced in June 2024, quickly becoming one of Microsoft’s most highly anticipated games for 2025. Microsoft has also confirmed that the game will be featured in the upcoming Developer Direct stream on YouTube on January 23, which is expected to give fans a glimpse into the game’s setting, character origins, and arsenal. One of the key details that may be revealed is the release date, which seems to have leaked ahead of time.

The French video game distributor, Gamekult, recently confirmed that Doom: The Dark Ages will be released on May 15, 2024, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. This post, discovered by Insider Gaming, was later removed, but it was likely based on a preview opportunity for the game. In August 2024, id Software hosted a private preview of Doom: The Dark Ages at QuakeCon, so it’s possible that Gamekult’s post was unintentionally released before the official announcement.

This isn't the first time Doom: The Dark Ages has been linked to a May release date. Back in December, leaker eXtas1s claimed the game would launch in May, and Microsoft was expected to confirm the official date during the Developer Direct event in January. However, all of this information remains unofficial until Microsoft makes an official statement.
Recently, only Nvidia has shared a brief gameplay clip as part of a video discussing Ray-Tracing, but no specific combat details were revealed. Regardless, Doom: The Dark Ages remains one of the most highly anticipated games from Microsoft this year, alongside titles like Avowed, Fable, and South of Midnight.
