Fans of Marvel Rivals are excited about the possibility of Johnny Blaze's Ghost Rider joining the game, but it seems that a slightly different version of the character might be the one to debut.
Marvel Rivals now boasts a fairly extensive roster of characters, ranging from familiar faces to heroes that only the most dedicated comic book fans would recognize. NetEase is actively working to expand this lineup and even asks players for input on what they'd like to experience in upcoming seasons.

One of the most frequently mentioned names in the gaming community is Ghost Rider, the fiery vengeance spirit known for his iconic, flame-spewing motorcycle. Ghost Rider is a title passed down through several characters in the Marvel Universe, with various versions already making appearances in notable video games.
The original character, Johnny Blaze, first appeared in Marvel Ultimate Alliance and the Marvel vs. Capcom series, while his more recent successor, Robbie Reyes, has also made an impact in the game Marvel's Midnight Suns. It seems that the version of Ghost Rider NetEase plans to introduce in Marvel Rivals is yet another unique take on the character.

According to the X0X_LEAK channel on Twitter, Parker Robbins, also known as The Hood, is being developed for inclusion in the game. Like his comic book counterpart, he will be equipped with his iconic twin pistols and a demonic form, alongside abilities like Dual Gun Overheat Cooling, Clone Projection, Clone Range Control, Clone Detonation, Shield, and Shield Health Management.

This version of Ghost Rider recently debuted in the comic Ghost Rider: Final Vengeance, released in 2024, portraying a much more sinister version of the Spirit of Vengeance. His alter ego, The Hood, has appeared in games such as Marvel: Contest of Champions and Marvel Snap, alongside a comic arc based on the game Marvel's Spider-Man 2. Actor Anthony Ramos will soon portray Parker Robbins in the Ironheart series on Disney+.

Fans of Ghost Rider will likely expect a more 'classic' version, such as Johnny Blaze, but the focus on Parker Robbins might introduce some exciting new elements to Marvel Rivals, if the rumors hold true. There's also a possibility that this version is being added to promote the upcoming live-action TV series.
