Unikey is one of the most popular Vietnamese typing software in Vietnam due to its simple and user-friendly interface. The 2024 version introduces a new feature to toggle Vietnamese typing on and off for each application, saving users from the manual steps required in earlier versions.
How to quickly install Unikey 2024 on your computer
Step 1: First, you need to download Unikey 2024 here to ensure safety, choose [Link File 1].
Step 2: Once the download is complete, you can begin installing Unikey 2024 by following these steps:
- Right-click on the Unikey 2024 installer file in your downloads folder and extract it using Winrar.
- Directly click on the UnikeyNT.exe file to install Unikey 2024 on your computer.
Guide to configuring and using Unikey 2024
Once Unikey is installed, you will need to configure some basic settings to start using it:
Step 1: Locate the Unikey icon in the taskbar or the Start menu and click it to activate this Vietnamese typing tool.
Step 2: Set up the control panel
- Character set: It's recommended to leave this as Unicode.
- Input method: Select the input method you wish to use; Telex is the most commonly used option.
- Toggle key: Choose a shortcut for switching between Vietnamese and English input quickly, such as Ctrl+Shift or Alt+Z, depending on your preference.
Step 3: Advanced options.
In the Advanced settings, you can select the preferences you want when typing in Vietnamese. The Unikey 2024 version also introduces the Enable/Disable per application feature.
- It is recommended to check Allow free typing, Enable spell check, and Automatically restore keys with incorrect words to allow the software to automatically detect text errors.
- Check Enable/Disable per application, Vietnamese interface, and Launch with Windows so the software starts automatically every time you turn on your computer.
- If you frequently type long words, you can use Unikey 2024's shortcut typing feature. Enable Allow shortcut typing and click Shortcut table to set it up.
- Tại ô Thay: Bạn soạn ký tự viết tắt thay thế cho cụm đầy đủ
- Tại ô Bởi: Nhập từ hiển thị đầy đủ.
==> Sau đó chọn Thêm và Lưu.
VD như hình bên dưới, nhập từ "tmp + dấu cách" sẽ ra từ Mytour
- Sau khi thiết lập xong toàn bộ, bạn chọn Đóng và Unikey sẽ tự thu xuống thanh công cụ bên dưới, chạy ẩn trên máy tính.
