Introduction to the Shark Race
Shark is one of the base races in Blox Fruits. Inspired by real-life sharks, this race allows you to swim in water unharmed and comes with several powerful defensive traits.
Shark ranks as the top all-around race in Blox Fruits. While some races offer better agility or offensive output, Shark’s defensive edge makes it the best all-around choice, especially in Sea Events and bounty hunting.
How to Obtain the Shark Race
Begin your journey as a Shark. There's a 12.5% chance you'll start Blox Fruits as a Shark. The other possible starting races are Human (62.5%), Rabbit (12.5%), and Angel (12.5%).
- Each race offers its own unique strengths and playstyles.
Use a Race Reroll. Race Rerolls randomly switch your race to one of the starter options. You have a 33% chance of landing the Shark race—unless you’re currently a Ghoul or Cyborg, where the chance drops to 25%. Here’s how to get a Race Reroll:
- Purchase from the Shop for 90 Robux
- Buy from Tort using 3,000 Fragments
- Get from the Event Shop or Death King during special events
Stages of the Shark Race
V1 This is the initial form of the Shark race.
- Buffs: Reduced water damage and increased swimming speed.
- Visual changes: Blue shark fin appears on the player's back.
V2 Obtainable by completing the Alchemist's Quest, which requires finishing the Colosseum Quest first.
- Buffs: Boosted speed on land and water, and complete immunity to water damage.
- Visual changes: No changes in appearance.
V3 Earned by completing arowe's Quest, which involves defeating a naturally spawned Sea Beast.
- Buffs: Gain the Water Body ability, reducing damage taken from players and NPCs by 65% while active.
- Visual changes: Fins appear on each forearm (may cause clipping).
V4 (Awakened Form) Unlocked by solving the Temple of Time puzzle and completing the Trial of the Water.
- Buffs: Grants access to Leviathan's Armor and Whirlpool abilities.
- Leviathan's Armor: Activates a water-based shield that restores itself as you deal damage. This shield absorbs 85% of incoming damage and can reach up to 20% of your max health. Once upgraded, the shield's capacity increases to 40% of your max health.
- Whirlpool: Inflicts a debuff on enemies that slows their movement and lowers their defense. The upgraded version extends the duration of this effect.
- Visual changes: V4 brings several transformations:
- A tail-like fin appears on the player.
- All fins and the player's hair turn white during transformation.
- Activating Leviathan's Armor turns the player's body blue, with the shade indicating the remaining shield strength.
