Blox Fruits includes 12 distinct fighting styles. Players begin with the standard Combat style by default. The remaining 11 can be acquired from trainers located in the First, Second, and Third Seas. Top-tier styles like Godhuman, Sanguine Art, and Dragon Talon are prized for their high damage and effectiveness in challenging scenarios.
How to Get Them
Overview of Fighting Styles
Blox Fruits features 12 different fighting styles. These styles are one of four main methods of dealing damage, alongside Blox Fruits, swords, and guns.
Every player begins with the Combat style by default. Once a new style is learned, Combat is replaced permanently and cannot be relearned, unlike other styles which can be switched back to at no cost.
Fighting styles emphasize utility more than raw damage. Most of them offer three abilities, compared to the four or five from Blox Fruits and two from swords and guns.
The top-tier fighting styles are Godhuman, Sanguine Art, and Dragon Talon. All of them are acquired in the Third Sea and are highly effective in advanced stages of the game.
- Godhuman excels in PvP with strong damage output and stun capabilities.
- Sanguine Art is a versatile choice with high damage, instinct-breaking abilities, and ranged click attacks, making it perfect for grinding—especially when used with Buddha. However, it is the hardest style to unlock.
- Dragon Talon stands out for grinding due to its large-area AoE attacks, though it suffers from high knockback compared to Sharkman Karate or Sanguine Art.
Fighting Styles of the First Sea
Combat
- Obtainment: Default starting style
- Description: This is the style you begin with when entering the game. As the weakest fighting option, it's best to switch to a stronger one as soon as possible.
Dark Step
- Obtainment: Available for $150,000 from the Dark Step Teacher
- Locations: Pirate Village (First Sea), Hot and Cold (Second Sea), Castle on the Sea (Third Sea)
- Description: A solid early-game choice for farming due to its higher damage than Combat. It’s also essential for unlocking Superhuman, Godhuman, and Death Step styles.
Electric
- Obtainment: Costs $500,000 from the Mad Scientist
- Locations: beneath Skylands (First Sea), Hot and Cold (Second Sea), Castle on the Sea (Third Sea)
- Description: A beginner-friendly fighting style with strong utility, especially against Sea Beasts. It’s also needed to unlock Superhuman, Godhuman, and Electric Claw.
Water Kung Fu
- Obtainment: Can be learned for $750,000 from the Water Kung Fu Teacher
- Locations: Underwater City (First Sea), Hot and Cold (Second Sea), Castle on the Sea (Third Sea)
- Description: Although pricey, it’s a powerful First Sea option with quick cooldowns and strong damage. It’s also required for Superhuman, Godhuman, and Sharkman Karate.
Fighting Styles in the Second Sea
Dragon Breath
- Obtainment: Purchase for 1,500 Fragments from Sabi
- Locations: Kingdom of Rose (Second Sea), Castle on the Sea (Third Sea)
- Description: A low-cost fighting style with solid damage and reach, needed to unlock Superhuman, Godhuman, and Dragon Talon. Its main downside is its relatively slow attack speed.
Superhuman
- Obtainment: Costs $3,000,000 from the Martial Arts Master; requires 300+ Mastery in Dark Step, Electric, Water Kung Fu, and Dragon Breath
- Locations: Snow Mountain (Second Sea, in a cave), Castle on the Sea (Third Sea)
- Description: A gateway to Godhuman, Superhuman has strong knockback and decent damage. However, unlocking it takes major dedication and grinding.
Death Step
- Obtainment: Buy for $2,500,000 and 5,000 Fragments from Phoeyu, the Reformed; requires 400+ Mastery in Dark Step and a Library Key to access the room
- Locations: Ice Castle (Second Sea), Castle on the Sea (Third Sea)
- Description: Essential for Godhuman, Death Step is great in PvP and combos, but it’s a grind to get due to the mastery requirements for Dark Step.
Sharkman Karate
- Obtainment: Requires $2,500,000, 5,000 Fragments, and a Water Key (from the Tide Keeper boss); purchased from Daigrock, the Sharkman
- Locations: Forgotten Island (Second Sea), Castle on the Sea (Third Sea)
- Description: Needed for Godhuman, Sharkman Karate is powerful for grinding, especially when used with Buddha. Its only drawback is that just one move breaks instinct.
Fighting Styles in the Third Sea
Electric Claw
- Obtainment: Costs $3,000,000 and 5,000 Fragments from Previous Hero; must complete Previous Hero's quest and reach 400+ Mastery in Electric
- Location: Floating Turtle
- Description: Essential for unlocking Godhuman, Electric Claw boasts high mobility and damage. However, acquiring it requires a hefty Electric mastery level and effort.
Dragon Talon
- Obtainment: Costs $3,000,000 and 5,000 Fragments from Uzoth; must have 400+ Mastery in Dragon Breath and offer a Fire Essence from the Death King
- Location: Hydra Island at the Dragon Dojo
- Description: Dragon Talon is a requirement for Godhuman and Dojo Belts. It deals high damage and is easy to land hits with, though unlocking it can be quite the grind.
Godhuman
- Obtainment: Learned from the Ancient Monk for $5,000,000, 5,000 Fragments, 10 Dragon Scales, 20 Fish Tails, 10 Mystic Droplets, and 20 Magma Ores; must have 400+ Mastery in Superhuman, Death Step, Sharkman Karate, Electric Claw, and Dragon Talon
- Location: Inside a giant tree on Floating Turtle
- Description: A powerhouse in PvP due to its heavy damage and stunning effects, Godhuman is hard to unlock and demands serious grinding and resource gathering.
Sanguine Art
- Obtainment: Learn from Shafi for $5,000,000 and 5,000 Fragments; must offer a Leviathan Heart, 20 Demonic Wisps, 20 Vampire Fangs, and 2 Dark Fragments
- Location: Tiki Outpost
- Description: Ideal for grinding, raids, and Sea Events, Sanguine Art is strong but time-intensive to get due to the rare Leviathan Heart requirement.
