Access your Steam ID on desktop or mobile
Your Steam ID is a 17-digit code that uniquely identifies your account. It's often required when contacting Steam Support. Fortunately, retrieving it is straightforward. Here's how to locate it on a Windows or Mac device.
Locate Your Steam ID
To view your Steam ID, launch the Steam app and click your username at the top right. Select Account details and your Steam ID will appear at the top of the page.
Instructions

Open the Steam app. Steam can be downloaded for Windows, Mac, and Linux.
- If you're not logged in, enter your username and password now. You can reset your password if necessary.
- On mobile, head to https://store.steampowered.com/login/ in your browser and sign in.

Select your username. It's located in the upper-right corner.
- A dropdown menu will appear.

Choose Account details. This is the second item in the menu and will open a new page.

Your Steam ID appears at the top. It’s listed under the Account section.
- This 17-digit Steam ID uniquely identifies your account, separate from your profile name.
- Note: Your Steam ID and account name are permanent and cannot be changed.
