Do you want to change your boot device or set your system clock? BIOS is the place to do that. It manages all the low-level functions on your PC, and you must access it to make any changes. The process of entering BIOS varies between different computers but is generally similar.
Steps
Access BIOS

Restart your computer. Since BIOS controls most of the system's basic features, you need to access it before Windows starts loading.

Press the Setup key. As soon as the manufacturer's logo appears, press the specified key to access Setup or BIOS. Common keys include F1, F2, and Delete.
- If you miss the timing, Windows will load, and you'll need to restart the system to access BIOS.

Navigate through BIOS. Once BIOS loads, use the keyboard to move through the menus. The mouse typically won't work here. You can use BIOS to change basic hardware settings.
Access UEFI Settings on Windows 8

Open the Charms bar and click on Settings. You can access the Charms bar by moving your cursor to the top or bottom right corner of the screen.
- On Windows 8, the boot sequence happens so quickly that you may not have time to press the Setup key. Because of this, Windows 8 allows you to boot into the Advanced menu. This task must be done on Windows.

Click the Power button.

Hold down the .Shift key and click "Restart".

Click on “Troubleshoot” and select "Advanced options".

Click on "UEFI Firmware Settings". You may need to click "Restart" again.
- Now you'll be able to modify UEFI settings, similar to how you would configure BIOS.
Warning
- Avoid changing any settings in BIOS unless you're certain about what you're doing.
