This Mytour guide will teach you how to view your Hotmail inbox. The traditional Hotmail interface is now integrated with Microsoft Outlook, making accessing your Hotmail account similar to using Outlook. You can use Microsoft Outlook to access your account both on desktop and mobile devices.
Steps
On Desktop

Open the Hotmail website. Visit https://www.hotmail.com/ in your browser. Since Hotmail is now part of Microsoft Outlook, you will be redirected to the Microsoft Outlook login page.
- If this opens your Outlook inbox, you have successfully logged into your account.
- If it opens someone else's inbox, log out by clicking the profile icon in the top right corner, then selecting Sign out from the dropdown menu.

Click on Sign in (Log in). This button is located in the center of the page.

Enter your Hotmail email address. In the "Email, phone, or Skype" text box, type the email address associated with your Hotmail account.
- If you haven’t logged into your Hotmail account for more than 270 days (or within 10 days of creating the account), it will be deleted, and you’ll need to create a new account.

Click on Next (Proceed). This button is located below the text box.

Enter your password. Type your account password in the "Password" text box.
- If you can’t remember your password, you’ll need to reset your password before proceeding.

Expert tip: If you need help managing your passwords, consider using a password manager. With a password manager, you'll set one master password, and the program will generate unique passwords for all your accounts. However, if you lose the master password, you will be locked out of your accounts.

- If Outlook opens your inbox, you've successfully logged into your account.
- If Outlook opens a different account, tap the ☰ icon in the top left corner, then click the gear icon at the bottom of the menu. Enter the email address for the current account, click Delete Account, and tap Delete when prompted to remove the account from the Outlook app.

Tap Get Started (Start). This button is located in the center of the screen.
- If Outlook prompts you for your email address, simply skip this step.

Enter your email address. Type the email address associated with your Hotmail account.
- If you haven't logged into your Hotmail account for more than 270 days (or within 10 days of creating the account), it will be deleted, and you'll need to create a new account.

Advice
- Since October 2018, Hotmail and Outlook have merged into one. You can still log in using your "@hotmail.com" email address, but doing so will open the Outlook interface instead of the old Hotmail layout.
Warning
- If your Hotmail account is deleted after being inactive for a long period, it cannot be restored.
