Today, Mytour will guide you through the process of adding apps (also known as extensions) to the Google Chrome browser on your computer. Chrome extensions are only available on the desktop version of the Chrome browser, not on mobile versions like iPhone or Android. Google Chrome only supports extensions that are officially approved and available on the Chrome Web Store.
Steps
Install the Extension

Launch Google Chrome on your computer. The app icon is a circular design with red, yellow, blue, and green colors.

Visit the Google Chrome Store's Extensions page at https://chrome.google.com/webstore/category/extensions.

Click on the search bar. This white box with the text "Search the store" is located at the top left corner of the page.

Enter a keyword related to the extension you wish to add to Google Chrome (e.g., "adblocker").
- You can also scroll down to explore popular free extensions.
- If you'd like to refine your search, check the boxes under the "FEATURED" section below the search bar (e.g., select Free to look for free extensions).

Press ↵ Enter or ⏎ Return. Extensions related to your search term will be displayed on the Chrome Web Store.

Browse through the extensions you'd like to install. The list of available extensions will appear at the top of the page.

Click on the ADD TO CHROME button. This button appears to the right of the extension.
- If the extension is paid, the button will read BUY FOR [price].

Click on the Add extension button when it appears. A download box will briefly pop up at the bottom of the page, followed by a notification that the extension was successfully installed at the top-right corner. The extension icon will appear there.
Modify Extension Settings

Click the ⋮ button located to the right of the address bar at the top-right corner of the browser window.

Navigate to the More tools option. This option can be found near the bottom of the dropdown menu, under the "Find" option.

Click on Extensions. This dropdown menu will appear to the left, just below the "Clear browsing data" option.

Browse through the list of extensions. All extensions installed on Chrome will be displayed. You can:
- Enable extension in incognito mode – Check the box next to "Allow in incognito" under the extension to enable it in incognito mode.
- Turn extension on or off – If you don't want to use an extension but don’t want to uninstall it, uncheck the box to the right of the extension's name.
- Remove the extension – Click the trash can icon next to the extension to remove it from Chrome.

Close the "Extensions" tab once you're done configuring. Your settings will be saved automatically.
Tip
- Right-click (or two-finger tap on a touchpad) the extension icon in the address bar to see the specific options for that extension. You can also click Remove from Chrome to delete the extension.
- You can always access the extension page directly by typing chrome://extensions into the Chrome address bar and pressing ↵ Enter.
