Steps

Open Google Docs on your iPhone or iPad. The app features an icon of a green sheet of paper with a folded corner, with white lines inside. The app is typically located on the home screen.

Tap on the document you want to edit. The document will open.

Click on the + icon located at the top right of the screen. The “Insert” menu will appear at the bottom of the screen.

Scroll down in the menu and tap on the Page number option. A list of available page number positions will appear.

Tap on your preferred position. Choose one of the four options for where the page number will appear. The page number will be inserted immediately.
- The first option places the page number at the top right corner of each page, starting with the first page.
- The second option places the page number at the top right corner of each page, starting from the second page.
- The third option places the page number at the bottom right corner of each page, starting with the first page.
- The fourth option places the page number at the bottom right corner of each page, starting from the second page.
