Is Bumble no longer showing profiles in your city? If that's the case, you can easily widen your search radius to meet potential matches further away. On the other hand, if you find profiles that are too far away, you can also narrow your search. Follow the guide below to learn how to adjust the distance filter on Bumble!
Steps
Mobile app
Tap on the yellow honeycomb icon. You’ll find this option at the center of the bottom part of the Bumble app.
Tap on the filter icon. This icon looks like two sliders located at the top right corner of the screen. You will then be directed to the search filter page to adjust the range.
Drag the "Distance" slider to your desired position. If you want to view potential matches farther away, slide it to the right. To reduce the distance, slide it to the left.
- If the "Distance" slider is not visible, this feature is unavailable in your area.
- If you want to see items beyond the selected distance, enable the "Dealbreaker?" feature below the slider and turn it to the On position (yellow).
Tap the Apply button. This option appears at the bottom of the screen. The new distance setting will take effect immediately.

Click on the profile picture. You'll find the picture displayed at the top left corner of the Bumble homepage.
Click on Settings (Settings). You can find this option in the middle section of the menu on the left side of the screen.
Adjust the "Distance" slider to the desired position. Move the slider to the right if you want to see potential matches at a greater distance. If you're interested in seeing those closer to you, drag it to the left.
- You must click Filter on the right panel to reveal the "Distance" slider.
- If the "Distance" slider isn't visible, this feature isn't available in your area.
Click on X to close Settings. Any changes will take effect immediately.
Advice
- The distance filter is based on your current location as determined by GPS on your phone or browser’s current location. For instance, if you set the distance to 80 km, you'll see potential matches that are within 80 km whenever you use Bumble.
- If you are a Bumble Premium user, you can enable Travel Mode to change your location and see matches in other cities.
- To update your location on the web, click on your profile picture, select Settings, and click the Refresh icon in the "Location" section.
