Process Overview
How to Become a Nike Product Tester

Go to https://voiceoftheathlete.nike.com/applyInfoTester and click 'Apply'. The Nike product testing page provides detailed instructions on the application process. If you’re approved, Nike will send you either shoes or apparel (based on your selection) and request your feedback online.
- Be aware that the site https://www.niketesting.com/ is not an official Nike tester site. The legitimate site is https://voiceoftheathlete.nike.com/register.

Follow the on-screen instructions and fill in your details. You’ll be asked for your country or region, date of birth, email address, and the type of product you’d like to test (apparel, footwear, or both). The form will also inquire if you’re employed by Nike or an NCAA athlete.
- The program is divided into three age groups: children, teens, and adults. Children must be 12 years old or younger to qualify as testers.

Sign the release and waiver agreement provided. This waiver frees Nike from any liability and grants them permission to photograph or film your product testing. It also requires you to return all Nike products after testing.
- If you’re a student-athlete or may become one under NCAA rules, you agree to be responsible for maintaining your eligibility and complying with NCAA regulations.
- For legal guardians applying for a minor, you’ll need to provide your contact details, the child’s birthdate, and your signature.

Provide your shipping address and sizing details. Enter a valid shipping address (not a P.O. Box) and hit 'Next.' The form will ask for your gender, height, weight, and preferred product category. You’ll also need to provide your clothing and shoe sizes.
- Categories include American Football, Baseball, Basketball, Dance, Golf, Lacrosse, Men’s Training, Running, Skateboarding, Soccer (Global Football), Sportswear, Tennis, and Women’s Training.
- Nike typically favors applicants who are experienced in a particular category and would regularly use products from that category.

Provide additional details about your involvement in the program. After submitting your application, the site will ask specific questions about your experience with the type of product you wish to test.
- If you opt to test skateboarding gear, you’ll be asked about how long you’ve been skating, how often you skate, the types of skating you do, and your preferred sock height.

Test the products for the specified period and track your usage. If selected, Nike will send you a product and request that you use it for a specified duration, typically 1 to 2 months. Testers are usually asked to log the number of hours spent using the products and the activities they were used for.
- Sharing the items on social media is prohibited. If selected, you may be asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
- Do not leave the products unattended or use them in unauthorized ways.

Return the items after the testing period ends. Once the product testing phase is over, you must return the products according to the instructions provided by Nike.
Do Nike product testers receive compensation?

Nike does not pay testers for their participation. You will not get to keep the products; after the testing period concludes, you are required to return them to Nike. However, you will have the opportunity to try unreleased Nike gear for free and provide valuable feedback to help improve their products.
- Some testers have reported receiving benefits like coupons or gift cards, though these are not guaranteed.
- Nike does not directly hire product testers. Any listings for a Nike product tester job are likely to be scams, as Nike hires analysts to manage the program.
How to Avoid Nike Product Tester Scams

The legitimate Nike emails are [email protected] or [email protected]. Scammers often create fake emails that resemble the official addresses (like [email protected]). If you’re unsure about the authenticity of an email, reach out to Nike directly at 1-800-344-6453 for verification.
- Don’t click on email links unless you’re absolutely certain the email is legitimate.

Don’t apply for testing positions through third-party job platforms. Fraudsters often post fake listings for mystery shopper and tester positions on job sites like Indeed or LinkedIn. To confirm if a job posting is real, check the official Nike career page.
- Click the “Search Jobs” button, type in the job title, and see if it appears in the search results. If not, it’s likely a scam.
- If the job posting asks you to pay or send money after depositing a check, it’s a scam.
- Some scammers may also request that you buy gift cards either online or from nearby stores.
-
If you receive a phishing email, forward it to the Anti-Phishing Working Group at [email protected].
-
If you lose money or fall victim to a third-party job scam, report it to the FTC and your state attorney general.
