This guide will walk you through the steps of blocking emails from a particular person on your Yahoo Mail account. It's important to note that this action must be done on Yahoo's website, as you cannot block someone using the Yahoo Mail app on your mobile device. While blocking a person will prevent them from contacting you via the blocked email address, keep in mind that spam services often use multiple fake email addresses, making it more challenging to block spam than blocking regular users. Let's follow the instructions below and get started!
Steps

Open Yahoo Mail. Visit https://mail.yahoo.com/ in your web browser to access your Yahoo inbox, provided you're already signed in.
- If you're not signed in, you'll be prompted to enter your email address and password.

Click on the Settings button in the top right corner of your inbox to open the menu options.
- If you only see the gear icon (not the word "Settings"), make sure to update the Yahoo Mail interface by clicking the green One click away from your upgraded inbox button on the left side of the page before continuing.

Click on More Settings (Add more settings) located near the bottom of the options list to open the Settings page.

Click on the Security and privacy (Security and Privacy) tab located on the left side of the page.

Click on the + Add (Add) button to the right of the "Blocked addresses" (Blocked addresses) section, located in the middle of the "Security and Privacy" column.

Enter the email address. Type the full email address of the person you wish to block.

Click on Save (Save). This is the blue button located below the "Address" (Address) field. This action will add the entered address to the block list, and from now on, any emails from the blocked sender will be redirected to the spam folder.
Advice
- If you wish to avoid receiving spam, you can mark and delete spam messages instead of blocking the email address of the sender.
Warning
- Blocking a sender will not automatically delete any emails they have already sent.
