This guide shows you how to block and unblock users on Instagram. You can perform both actions on the Instagram app for your phone or the Instagram website. If you're still being harassed by someone you’ve blocked who continues to create new accounts, report them to Instagram and set your account to private. You cannot unblock your own account from someone else's block list.
Steps
Blocking a User on Mobile
Open Instagram by tapping the app with the colorful camera icon. This will take you to your Instagram home page if you're already logged into your account.
- If you're not logged in, enter your username (or email/phone number) to log in.

Bỏ chặn người dùng bằng điện thoại

Scroll down the screen and select the Blocked Accounts section beneath the "Privacy and Security" header in the middle of the page.
Choose the user. Tap on the profile picture of the person you wish to unblock.
Tap on the Unblock (Unblock) button located near the top of the screen to unblock the user immediately.
- On Android, you will need to tap on Yes, I'm sure after tapping on Unblock to confirm your choice.
Action on Computer
Open Instagram by visiting https://www.instagram.com/ from your browser. This will open Instagram's homepage if you're already logged into your account on the computer.
- If you're not logged in, click Log in at the bottom right of the page and enter your username (or email/phone number) and password.
Select the user you want to block. Scroll down the homepage until you find the person you wish to block, then click on their name to access their profile page.
- You can also type their username or profile name into the search bar at the top of the Instagram page and click on their name from the search results list.
Click on the ⋯ button at the top of their profile page, next to their name. This will display a menu.
Click on the Block this user option in the menu below.
Click on the Block option when prompted to add that account to the blocked users list.
Unblock a user. To unblock a user on Instagram, go to their profile page, click on Unblock at the top of the page, and confirm by clicking Unblock when prompted.
Advice
- It's recommended to switch to a private account so that anyone who wants to view your photos must send a follow request first.
- If you have blocked someone on the Instagram app, they will still be blocked on the website. Unblocking a user works the same way.
Warning
- Blocked users can still view your photos by logging into a different account.
- Unblocking a user does not automatically restore the following status, and they will not be notified when you remove them from your "Followers" list.
