This guide shows you how to cancel your Amazon Prime free trial to avoid being charged. If you cancel your Prime membership before the 30-day trial ends, you won't incur any charges. Once you select to cancel the trial, you can still enjoy Prime benefits, including free two-day shipping and access to the Prime Video library, until the trial period ends.
Steps
Using the Mobile App

Open Amazon on your Android, iPhone, or iPad. The app has a blue shopping cart icon on a white background. Once you do this, the Amazon homepage will appear if you're logged in.
- If you're not logged in, follow the on-screen instructions to log in.

Tap the menu icon ☰ located at the top left corner of your screen. This icon consists of three horizontal lines stacked on top of each other.

Tap on 'Your Account'. This option is positioned in the middle of the menu, and it leads you to your personal account settings.

Scroll down and select 'Manage Prime Membership'. You'll find this option under the 'Account settings' section, near the middle of the menu.

Tap 'End Trial and Benefits'. This will prompt a confirmation asking whether you want to continue your trial membership or end it.

Tap 'Continue to cancel'. This action confirms that you want to cancel your trial membership after the trial period ends, though you can still enjoy the Prime benefits until the trial expires.

Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm the cancellation of your service. Amazon will display a series of screens asking you to confirm the cancellation. Be sure to follow all of Amazon's instructions until you see the confirmation that the trial membership has been successfully canceled.
Use a computer

Visit https://www.amazon.com through your web browser. If you are logged into Amazon, you will see "Hello, (your name)" in the top right corner of the screen. If you see Hello, Sign in, click on it to log in with your Amazon Prime account.

Hover your mouse cursor over Account & Lists (Your Account and Lists). This option is located in the dark blue section in the top-right corner of the page. A dropdown menu will appear here.

Click on Your Account (Your Account) in the menu. This option is near the top of the dropdown menu on the far right side, just below the "Your Account" title.

Click on the cell Prime. There are six cells at the top of the page, with 'Prime' being the third cell in the first row. Look for the 'Prime' icon with a blue curved arrow beneath it.

Click on Update, cancel, and more (Update, cancel, and more). This link appears in the gray "Membership" box at the top right section of the page. A menu will open here.

Click on the button End membership (End membership) or End Trial and Benefits (End trial and benefits). One of these buttons appears at the bottom of the currently open menu. You will be directed to a confirmation page after clicking.

Click on the Continue to cancel (Continue to cancel) yellow button. This is the second of three yellow buttons near the middle of the page.

Click on Cancel Membership (Cancel Membership). This action will notify Amazon to stop charging at the end of the trial period. Even after canceling the trial, you can still enjoy Prime benefits until the trial ends.
