Today, Mytour will guide you through the process of canceling your Amazon Prime membership to stop automatic renewal. You can complete this process on both the Amazon website and mobile app.
Steps
On a Computer
Open the Amazon Prime membership cancellation page. Access this page using your computer's web browser. You will be directed to the "End Your Amazon Prime Membership" page.
Click on End Membership (End Membership). This yellow button is located near the top of the page. You will be redirected to the login page.
Log in to Amazon. Enter your email address and password, then click Sign in. Your account will be verified.
- Even if you are already logged into your Amazon account, you will still need to click Sign in in the middle of the page.
Click on Continue to Cancel (Continue to Cancel). This yellow button is located near the bottom of the page.
End your Amazon Prime membership. Here, you will have two options: clicking End Now will cancel your Prime membership for the remaining period of the current billing cycle and refund this month's Prime payment, while clicking End on [date] will allow your Amazon Prime membership to continue until the renewal date.
Wait for the confirmation page. When the "Cancellation confirmed" page appears, it means your Prime membership has been canceled.
On Your Phone
Open Amazon. Tap on the Amazon app with the shopping cart logo labeled "amazon."
Tap the ☰ icon with three horizontal lines in the top-left corner of the screen. A menu will pop up.
Tap on Your Account (Your Account). This option is located near the top of the pop-up menu.
Tap on Manage Prime Membership (Manage Prime Membership). This option is found in the "Account settings" section of the menu.
Log in to Amazon. Enter your email address and password when prompted.
- Even if your login details are saved, you will still need to tap Sign in.
- If you're using an iPhone with Touch ID, you may be asked to scan your fingerprint.
Scroll down and tap on End Membership. This option is located near the bottom of the page. The cancellation confirmation process will then begin.
Scroll down and tap on I Do Not Want My Benefits (I Do Not Want My Benefits). This option is at the bottom of the page.
- You may not see this option. If so, proceed to the next step.
Scroll down and tap on End Membership. This option is located near the bottom of the page.
Tap the End on [date] button near the middle of the screen. The automatic renewal of your Prime membership will be canceled; it will terminate at the end of the current billing cycle.
- You may also see the End Now option here. Tapping this will cancel your Prime membership immediately, and Amazon will refund the payment for the remaining period of the billing cycle.
Tips
- It's best to cancel your Amazon Prime account several days before the membership renewal date.
Warning
- Canceling your Amazon Prime account will end your access to free unlimited photo storage and Cloud Drive. You will need to pay to continue using these features.
