This Mytour article provides a step-by-step guide on altering the keyboard language settings on your Mac computer.
Steps

Click on the Apple menu and then select System Preferences… (System Preferences). The Apple menu is identified by a black apple icon located at the top-left corner of your screen.

Click on Keyboard (Keyboard).

Click on Input Sources (Input Sources) located at the top of the dialog box.

Click the ➕ symbol found at the bottom-left section of the dialog box.

Select a language. The list of languages is displayed in alphabetical order.
- Keyboard languages that have already been added appear at the top of the list.

Choose the desired input method/keyboard layout for the language. This layout is shown in the right panel of the dialog box.
- An image of the keyboard interface will appear at the bottom-right panel when you select an input source.

Click on Add (Add).

Select "Show Input menu in menu bar" (Display input menu in the menu bar) at the bottom of the dialog box. A flag icon will appear on the right side of the menu bar.

Click on the flag icon located on the right side of the menu bar.

Choose the language you wish to use for your keyboard.
