Today, Mytour will guide you through the process of changing the language on your computer. This adjustment will affect the text displayed in menus and windows. Whether you're using a Mac or a Windows PC, you can easily follow these steps. Keep in mind that altering the default language on your computer won't change the language settings of your web browser or other applications.
Steps
On Windows


- You can also press the Windows key to open the Start menu.



Click on the Time & language tab. This option is located in the middle of the Settings window.

Click on the Region & language tab. This option is located on the left side of the window.

Click on Add a language. This option is located next to a large + sign in the middle of the page, under the "Languages" heading.

Select a language. Click on the language you want to use on your computer.

Choose a dialect. If after selecting your preferred language, a page with multiple dialects available in your country appears, click on the dialect you wish to use.
- Note that the language you selected may not have multiple dialects.

Click on the added language. This option is located below the current default language under the "Languages" section in the window. The language panel will expand.

Click on Options. This button is located below the language. A new window with language-specific options will appear.

Download the language pack. Click on Download under the "Download language pack" heading at the top left of the page.



Click on the language again, then select Set as default. This button is located below the language. This action will move the language to the top of the "Languages" list and set it as the default for all menus, apps, and other integrated display settings.

Click on System Preferences. This option is located near the top of the drop-down menu.

Click on Language & Region. This option features a flag icon and is located near the top of the System Preferences window.

Click on the + button. This button is located at the bottom left of the "Preferred language:" box on the left side of the Language & Region window. A new window will pop up displaying various languages.

Scroll to select the language you want, then click on Add.

Click on Use [Language]. This blue button is located at the bottom right of the window. The added language will be set as the default display language for your computer.
- If you miss this step, simply click and drag the language you added from the bottom to the top of the "Preferred languages" box.

Restart your Mac to apply the new language settings.
Tips
- Changing the language on your computer does not alter the language for all applications, programs, menus, etc. When downloading software, you will still need to select your preferred language as part of the installation process.

- Avoid switching your computer's language to one you do not understand or cannot change back from.
