Today, Mytour will guide you through the process of changing the wireless network (Wi-Fi) password for your TP Link router. This password is what you'll use to log into the router's network.
Steps

Ensure that your computer is connected to the internet. A stable internet connection is required to access the router's page.
- If the Wi-Fi signal is weak, consider connecting directly to the router.

Open a web browser. To access the router's page, type the TP Link router's IP address into the browser's address bar.

Enter 192.168.1.1 into your browser's address bar. This is the IP address for the TP Link router.

Type in the router's username and password. If you haven't changed them, the default settings are admin for both.
- If you have changed the username or password and can't remember them, you will need to reset the router before proceeding.

Click on Wireless (Wireless Network) on the left side of the page.

Click on Wireless Security (Wireless Network Security). This option is located below the Wireless menu on the left side of the page.

Scroll down and check the box for WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK near the bottom of the page.

Enter the new password in the 'Password' field. This field may also be labeled 'PSK Password'.

Click the Save button at the bottom of the page to save your settings.

Click OK when the confirmation window appears. The new password will be saved, but you will need to reboot the router for the changes to take effect.

Click on the System Tools option. This section is located at the bottom of the left-hand menu.

Click on the Reboot option near the bottom of the System Tools menu to restart the system.

Click OK when the prompt window appears. The router will restart. Once the network is back online, the new password will be active.
- You will need to use the new password to reconnect each device that previously accessed the router's Wi-Fi.
Advice
- Avoid resetting the router unless absolutely necessary. If a reset is required, make sure to create a new username and password immediately.
Warning
- Do not alter router settings that you do not fully understand.
