Today, Mytour will guide you through the process of changing your Bitmoji's outfit without needing to scroll through different hairstyles, body types, or facial features.
Steps
Use a mobile device
Open the Bitmoji app. The app is green with a white speech bubble icon that winks. You can find it on your home screen (or in the app drawer for Android users).
Tap on the shirt icon in the top-right corner of the screen. The 'Dress Your Avatar' screen will appear.
- If you're using Bitmoji with Snapchat, you can also access the 'Dress Your Avatar' screen through Snapchat. Just tap the Bitmoji icon in the top-left corner of Snapchat, then select Edit Bitmoji.
Choose an outfit. Scroll down to see all available options, then tap on the one you like. A preview of the outfit will appear on your avatar.
- If you're not happy with the outfit, simply tap the Back button (the arrow in the top-left corner of the screen) to return to the list.
Tap the checkmark in the top-right corner of the screen to save your selection. The next time you use Bitmoji, your character will be dressed in the new outfit.
Use a computer
Open the Chrome web browser. If you don’t have Google Chrome, check out this article on How to download and install Google Chrome. You'll need to use the Bitmoji extension for your browser to change your Bitmoji's outfit on a computer.
Install the Bitmoji extension for Chrome. If your browser already has the Bitmoji button (a green icon with a white speech bubble and a winking face) at the top right, you can move on to the next step. If not, follow these instructions:
- Visit https://www.bitmoji.com.
- Scroll down and click on Get it on Google Chrome (Download for Google Chrome). This large black button is at the bottom of the page.
- Click on Add Extension to add the extension.
Click on the Bitmoji button. This button, featuring a green icon with a white winking speech bubble, can be found at the top right of your Chrome browser.
Log in to Bitmoji. If you're already logged in and can see your personalized Bitmoji collection, you can proceed. If not, you will need to sign in using one of these methods:
- Click on Login with Facebook if your Bitmoji account is linked to Facebook. You’ll be prompted to log in if you haven’t done so already.
- Enter your Bitmoji username and password if your Bitmoji account isn’t connected to Facebook.
Choose your avatar style. You can pick between Bitmoji and Bitstrips. Make sure to select the correct style you've been using, as choosing the wrong one might require you to change your Bitmoji's facial features.
Click on the Hair Style option at the top of the list of available hairstyles. Don’t worry, this action won’t change your character's hair; it will simply open a menu where you can adjust other features.
Scroll down and click on the Outfit. You will need to use the gray scroll bar located on the right of the feature list. The Outfit selection screen will then appear.
Choose an outfit. The preview of your Bitmoji avatar will update every time you select a new option.
Click on Save Avatar (Save Avatar). Your choice will be saved. The next time you use Bitmoji to chat or message, your character will appear in its new outfit.
