Today, Mytour will walk you through the steps of changing the language settings in your web browser. You can modify the language in browsers like Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, and Safari. However, note that changing the language on mobile browsers requires altering the language settings for your entire smartphone or tablet first.
Steps
On Google Chrome

- If you're using a Mac, you can't directly change Chrome's language settings. Open Safari to modify the default language on your Mac, which will also update the language in Chrome.

Click on the icon at the top-right corner of the Chrome window. A dropdown menu will appear.

Click on 'Settings' in the dropdown menu. This option will open the Settings page.

Scroll down and click on 'Advanced ▼'. This option is located at the bottom of the page.

Scroll down and click on 'Language'. This option can be found under the 'Languages' section near the end of the page.

Click on 'Add languages'. This link is located at the bottom of the 'Language' menu.

Choose a language. Scroll down if necessary until you find the language you want, then click on it to select.

Click the 'Add' button at the bottom of the window. Your selection will be added to the list of languages in Chrome.

Click the button '⋮' located to the right of the language. A dropdown menu will appear.

Check the box labeled 'Display Google Chrome in this language'. This ensures Chrome uses the selected language for menus and default translation options on all websites you visit.
- Note: Not all websites may support the language you choose.

Click 'Relaunch' next to the chosen language. Chrome will close and restart, and after reloading, the selected language will be applied.
On Firefox

Open Firefox by clicking or double-clicking on the Firefox app icon, which features a fox wrapping around a green globe.

Click on the '☰' icon located at the top-right corner of the window. A dropdown menu will appear.

Click on 'Options' in the dropdown menu. The Options page will open.
- On Mac computers, click 'Preferences' here instead.

Click on the 'General' tab located in the top-left corner of the page.

Scroll down to the 'Language' section near the top of the page.

Click on the 'Choose…' option located to the right of the 'Language' heading. A popup window will appear.

Click on 'Select a language to add…' at the bottom of the popup. A dropdown menu will appear.

Select the language you want. Scroll down (if necessary) and click on your preferred language.

Click on the 'Add' action located at the bottom of the menu. The selected language will be set as the default language for Firefox.

Click the 'OK' button located at the bottom of the window. Your settings will be saved.

Restart Firefox by closing and reopening it. The language you selected will be applied to Firefox.
On Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer

- Unfortunately, you cannot change the language in Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer unless you change the language of your entire computer.

Click on 'Time & Language' in the Settings window. This option can be found within the Settings menu.

Nhấp vào thẻ Region & language (Ngôn ngữ & quốc gia). Tùy chọn này nằm bên trái trang.

Nhấp vào Add a language (Thêm ngôn ngữ).

Click on the 'Install' option located at the bottom of the window. The selected language will begin installing.

Wait for the language installation to complete. Once finished, your computer's display language will change to the selected language, and Microsoft Edge will adopt the new language as well.
On Safari

- You must change the language on your Mac computer first to modify Safari's language settings.

Click on 'System Preferences…' from the dropdown menu. This will open the System Preferences window.

Click on 'Language & Region' in the System Preferences window.

Click the '+' icon below the 'Preferred languages' list on the left side of the window. A new window will appear.

Select the language you wish to use for Safari.

Click the green 'Add' button at the bottom of the popup window. The selected language will be added to the 'Preferred languages' list.

Move the language to the top of the list. Drag the language you selected to the top of the language list. This will set the language as the default for your Mac, and Safari will also use the newly selected default language.
